Department Background:

Richemont Group Marketing supports the Group and its Maisons in developing and nurturing their brand equity. To achieve this, the department is structured into five specialized sub-departments: strategic planning, market intelligence, media, public relations, and client marketing. The regional team in Hong Kong SAR represents Group Marketing in the APAC region, fostering close collaboration with Asia-Pacific subsidiaries and headquarters. You will be part of this dynamic, fast-paced, and international team, with members located across Hong Kong SAR, China, Shanghai, Singapore, Paris, Geneva, and London and New York.

The Role:

Richemont seeks a seasoned strategic and analytical thinker for this leadership role, with the managerial maturity to deliver both as an individual contributor and as a supervisory driver when required.

This pivotal role requires the business acumen, marketing expertise, and communication finesse to take the right ownership of the needs collected from stakeholders, with whom the incumbent will then support and engage with the most relevant analysis or actions.

The objective is to accompany the Maisons in nurturing their brand equity and business by decoding the relevant multi-faceted specificities across different markets in the APAC region. 

To do so, the successful candidate has developed a keen eye to spot and connect signals from a range of qualitative and quantitative materials and data to formulate holistic analysis and identify the business implications behind such insights.

This will also require being close to the local market dynamics and stakeholders through well-paced business travels.   

Deliver standard of excellence in holistic and business-relevant analysis

  • Drive integrated analysis to address a diversity of marketing and business topics, by decoding interconnected drivers, including but not limited to, luxury market dynamics distinctive in each market in the region, competitors’ business performance, regional and local marketing activities & strategies, consumer and client mindset and purchasing behaviors.

  • Leverage the range of established qualitative and quantitative tools, frameworks and, data sets from Group Marketing and other credible sources, while identifying with a keen eye the relevant signals across to pin-point underlying and pertinent insight according to the topic and objective. Indicators of interest include but are not limited to macro economics indicators, luxury distribution and product price positioning, consumer travel and overseas luxury purchase trends.

  • In particular, champion the capabilities from the client marketing domain, fully leverage relevant client data and performance benchmarks to conduct client analysis and diagnose opportunities and evolutions of the Group and Maisons’ business.  

  • Ensure sound, representative, and integrated methodologies are deployed for the validity and objectiveness of the insight provided to stakeholders.     

  • Manage external partners and internal resources when available, ensuring quality delivery up to Group Marketing standards and within aligned timing and cost.

  • Seamless project management on assigned topics with robust prioritization.

Engage stakeholders with relevant level of input and translate business needs into actions

  • Engage and establish business-relevant exchanges with a diverse range of stakeholders, from marketing leaders and senior management of Maisons across markets in APAC, to counterparts from Group Marketing HQ and other Richemont Group functions in the region.

  • Collaborate and actively listen to the business needs of the above stakeholders, and identify appropriate actions where Group Marketing APAC could support in a relevant manner. 

  • Animate the different internal communities through regular sharing sessions, summits, webinars, workshops, publications and 1:1 discussions, and ensure the right level and type of insight is delivered at each occasion according to the stakeholders involved. 

Continuously drive optimization and maintain relevance 

  • Be the key go-to person with stakeholders at Group Marketing HQ and Maisons in the region regarding key strategic discussions and insight sharing.

  • Be the eyes and ears for Group Marketing in keeping track of competitors’ business and marketing activities, evolutions in client behavior to provide relevant, agile, and timely pointers.

  • Proactively identify areas for improvement in analysis, insight generation methodologies, roadmap & project management, and stakeholder engagement.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or Masters degree, in business, marketing, quantitative analysis or related disciplines. Other disciplines are also welcomed.

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience to this role. Robust background from in-house set-ups required, additional agency or consultancy experience welcomed.

  • Maturity in navigating matrix organizations and managing internal and external stakeholders is mandatory.

  • Proven track record in autonomously delivering extensive marketing and business analysis with actionable, close-to-business insight. Experience in integrating various types of market and consumer research / insight (both quantitative and qualitative) would be valuable. 

  • Previous work experience in luxury is not a must. However, the candidate must demonstrate an interest and a good sense in the key drivers currently behind the industry.

  • Hands-on experience with data analytics tools & dashboards (e.g. SAP, Power BI, Salesforce, Google Analytics …etc.) is highly welcomed.  

  • Strong command of spoken and written English. Strength in Chinese or other Asian languages welcomed.

  • International or APAC regional exposure highly preferred.

Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, marketing, quantitative analysis, or a related discipline

  • Proven ability to independently deliver extensive marketing and business analysis with actionable business insights
