This role follows a hybrid work schedule; offering the flexibility to work remotely two days a week, while providing the opportunity for onsite and in person collaboration the other three days.
Preferred work location is Bridgeport, CT , we will also consider candidates in Wilmington, DE. This role is hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days WFH)

About the Role:

As a Reference Data Analyst in Enterprise Data Analytics team, you will work closely with key business stakeholders and data product teams analyzing business processes, data flows, data lineage and implement data standardization techniques.

You will work with data product development teams to ensure that business requirements are accurately translated into system solutions that meet functional requirements.

You will support reference data standardizations, metadata management and data lineage documentation efforts supporting multiple concurrent projects.

You will analyze data quality issues identifying the root cause, work with data and business teams for resolution and report to Enterprise Data Issue Management team.

You will complete other related duties assigned as part of Enterprise Data Delivery team.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
-
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years related experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 5 years higher education and/ or work experience, including a minimum of 3 years related experience.

Strong conceptual knowledge in Reference Data Management principles and best practices followed in Financial industry.

Experience with any Reference Data Platform used in Financial industry.

Experience in implementing, initializing and maintaining Reference Data solution/platform.

Strong knowledge of Data Warehouse architecture and Data Analytics concepts.

Working knowledge of Agile Methodology, Strong collaboration with agile colleagues.

Hands-on experience in developing SQL queries.
IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED:

Experience in Financial industry Reference Data platform solutioning from the very beginning and managing the platform integrating with Big Data Warehouse applications.

Hands-on experience in Snowflake (SQL) and Python scripting.

Theorical knowledge of Cloud computing and skilled in SQL programming in cloud environment.

Working knowledge in Oracle Reference Data suite of products.(Oracle DRM, EDMCS etc.)

Strong knowledge of Data Warehouse architecture, Data Analytics and Data Life Cycle Management in Financial industry.
M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $119,400.84 - $199,001.40 Annual (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
