WANTED: Thinkers, Builders & Dreamers

For over 15 years ArcTouch has created lovable apps, websites, and connected experiences for world-leading companies like Walmart, Disney, Audi, and 3M.

Since launching our first app in 2009, we’ve followed these core beliefs:

  • Create lovable products, the perfect blend of something useful and delightful that forges meaningful connections with users.
  • Be a lovable company where amazing teams of diverse individuals collaborate every day to create something we can be proud of.

ArcTouch is a specialty studio that is part of the award-winning AKQA Group.

If you're passionate about building lovable products, we want you to join us!

Know the Cross-Platform Team

We are an ever-growing team committed to creating an inclusive and supportive environment where everyone can thrive. Our team is made up of professionals from diverse backgrounds and technologies, all working together to build lovable products for multiple clients in different industries. As a React Native Developer, you will play a key role in developing cutting-edge mobile applications that meet the needs of our clients and their users. If you are passionate about technology, enjoy working in a collaborative environment, and are committed to delivering high-quality results, you are in the right place!

Roles Expectations

  • Write code that is maintainable, performant, and well-designed to offer the best experience to our clients
  • Manage your code with Git-based technologies, from the branches you work all the way up to CI/CD, keeping everything organized
  • Be open to working on some native code because, at some point, you will need to use a platform channel
  • Work as close as possible to the whole team, taking ownership, respecting and trusting your teammates to shape and improve the way we develop our projects
  • Address any concerns or potential issues immediately to prevent project delays. Discuss with peers and escalate unresolved matters to the PM and stakeholders
  • Always add Unit Tests to business logic and ensure Accessibility is implemented and working
  • Perform thorough and meticulous code reviews, ensuring code standards and best practices
  • Prioritize attention to detail and design guidelines, interacting with Designers and raising questions
  • Always consider responsiveness and accessibility, keeping in mind we build apps for multiple devices and platforms with a wide range of screen sizes and users.
  • Provide accurate estimates for your tasks, considering all aspects of the work, and always strive to deliver what was promised and agreed upon
  • Deliver your work aiming not to have reopens, paying attention to details of business rules, the definition of done, acceptance criteria, and test scenarios
  • Take ownership of assigned tasks, breaking them into smaller ones, adding technical detailing, and planning for their successful completion
  • Keep your tickets documented, and update PMs on the time spent and remaining time on daily meetings
  • Whenever you find a bug, take ownership, get the information about it, and create a bug ticket, sharing it later in the team's Slack channel, not having to rely on PM or QAs
  • Dedicate time to plan the work of your following sprint, having a clear path of what you will need to do in your assigned tickets, raising questions when you are unsure
  • Ensure you have performed all Test Cycles and that your code works before delivery. Do not leave the testing to the QAs; you are responsible for the quality of your delivery.
  • Engage in English meetings with our clients, helping them identify better approaches and solutions and sharing technical arguments on complex conversations to negotiate and estimate deadline
  • Be present and engaged in meetings, striving to arrive on time and opening your camera whenever possible
  • When you can't attend a project ceremony, you are required to let the team know as soon as possible, preferably before the meeting
  • When you need to be absent or have a personal problem, let the team know as soon as possible, and compensate the hours unless you are out for legal reasons
  • Engage in regular communication with your engineering manager and bring up relevant topics during 1:1s
  • Attend internal team meetings regularly, which are a priority over project ceremonies, unless it's a client meeting, but you are required to let your manager aware
  • Prioritize participating in People Ops and Company initiatives
  • Provide and receive feedback in a timely manner, doing so at least once per cycle
  • Appoint your worked hours in our internal tracking software no later than Friday afternoon
  • Participate in the hiring process for our team by doing tech interviews, helping the company hire more talented people like you
  • Be mindful when scheduling vacations, discussing your plans with your Manager and PM
  • Be assertive with asynchronous communication, always reacting to messages on Slack to let the author know you are aware of its content, and replaying to calendar invites, not leaving the host wondering if you will attend the meeting
