Job Summary & Responsibilities
Position Summary
This position is for an R&D Optical Scientist with a practical engineering background. This person will be engaged in activities related to the design, analysis, and testing of optically based advanced metrology systems and subsystems. Primary functions include requirements development, system designs, optical designs, vendor engagement, building prototypes in lab, generating build work instructions, developing processing algorithms, and engaging the professional community through conferences and papers.

Qualifications
Desired skills/Experience
Well versed interferometry, aberration theory, lens design, polarization, diffraction theory, and radiometry.
Fluent in use of Zemax with prior experience in tolerance analysis and stray light analysis of optical systems using Zemax
Practical experience aligning optical systems in the lab.
Proficient in Python or Matlab scripting
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Exceptional organization skills
Qualifications
A minimum of 8 to 10 years of optical metrology development experience with a master’s degree or equivalent practical experience

Compensation & Growth
• Base Salary Range:
$115,200.00 - $172,800.00, offered in good faith and based on experience, location, and qualifications.Additional Rewards: Annual bonus opportunities and potential long-term incentives tied to both company and individual success.
