As a Senior Advanced Research and Development Engineer - Navigation Analyst here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will play a critical role in advancing alternative navigation technologies. ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities:
- Analyze and develop alternative navigation algorithms and systems to improve aerospace navigation capabilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate navigation solutions into broader aerospace platforms.
- Conduct research and testing to validate navigation system performance and reliability under various conditions.
YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in research and development focused on navigation systems or related aerospace technologies.
- Experience working with navigation algorithms, sensor fusion and alternative navigation techniques.
- Proficiency with navigation system simulation tools, data analysis software and programming languages such as C++ or MATLAB, Python.
- Experience with aerospace navigation standards and regulatory requirements.

- Familiarity with simulation environments and hardware-in-the-loop testing to evaluate alternative navigation system performance
- Experience with CUDA programming and NVIDIA Jetson platforms for high-performance embedded computing in navigation applications.
- Proven track record of successfully transitioning research innovations into deployable aerospace navigation products or solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for innovation.
- Familiarity with software development best practices and architecture principles.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Connecticut, and Hawaii is $137000 - $172,000. For Washington and most major metropolitan areas in New York and California, the annual base salary range is $157000 - $197000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
