Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

• Senior R&D Engineer should have the very good knowledge on product development and cross-functional aspects.
• Should be able to develop concepts meeting the requirements defined and implementing concept generation, engineering calculations, material selection and feasibility analysis capabilities.
• Should be able to design and develop the concepts generated leveraging CAD, GD&T, Design Mechanism and Tolerance Stack capabilities.·
• Should able to develop Finite element models from CAD and execute low-medium complex structural simulations with minimal supervision.
• Should be able to understand design problems and bring up optimal workable solution leveraging prototype building capability.
• The candidate must be able to communicate well with cross-functional team members, be able to efficiently collaborate with team members to achieve project goals, and contribute positively to the engineering community.

TECHNICAL SPECIALIST CAREER STREAM: An individual contributor with responsibility in our technical functions to advance existing technology or introduce new technology and therapies. Formulates, delivers and/or manages projects assigned and works with other stakeholders to achieve desired results. May act as a mentor to colleagues or may direct the work of other lower level professionals. The majority of time is spent delivering R&D, systems or initiatives related to new technologies or therapies – from design to implementation - while adhering to policies, using specialized knowledge and skills.

Autonomy: Seasoned individual contributor. Works independently under limited supervision to determine and develop approach to solutions. Coaches and reviews the work of lower level specialists; may manage projects / processes.

Innovation and Complexity: Problems and issues faced are difficult, and may require understanding of multiple issues, job areas or specialties. Makes improvements of processes, systems or products to enhance performance of the job area. Analysis provided is in-depth in nature and often provides recommendations on process improvements.

Communication and Influence: Communicates with senior internal and external customers and vendors. Exchange information of facts, statuses, ideas and issues to achieve objective, and influence decision-making.

Leadership and Talent Management: May provide guidance, coaching and training to other employees within job area. May manage projects, requiring delegation of work and review of others' work product.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

Must Have :

·        Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 8 to 12 years of experience performing product design and FEA.

·        Hands on experience in CAD systems such as Creo – expert level (Drafting & Modelling) as well as PDM/PLM systems such as Windchill

·        Hands on experience in working with ANSYS Mechanical and/or Abaqus

·        Experience in Creo Simulation and Creo Mechanism.

·        Very good verbal communications to interact with global partners

·        Knowledge in Concept Development, Design & Development, Predictive Engineering and Prototyping building & Testing

·       Well verse with latest revision of GD&T and good knowledge in 1D/2D Tolerance stacks

Nice to Have :

·        Medical Device Experience

·        Master Degree

·        Six Sigma or relevant certification

·        GD&T Certification

·        CETOL experience
