The Role:
The Senior R&D Electrical Engineer is part of a multidisciplinary team who are responsible for developing and refining products and processes for use in the automated logistics industry. The R&D Electrical Engineer is largely focused on industrial electrical design but is also engaged in aspects of machine control and electromechanical design. This role requires travel up to 10%, both domestically and internationally.
Core Job Functions Include:
- Creating electrical designs and architectures for standard products
- Defining design parameters for the application of standard products by project teams
- Being well versed in applicable standards such as UL and NEC
- Developing and maintaining standard methods for performing engineering calculations
- Setting process and design standards in place for use by project teams
- Helping develop automation for repetitive CAD and design processes
- Executing or coordinating physical testing of equipment

- NEMA/NFPA 70/NEC/NFPA 79/NFPA 70E/UL508A
- Safety PLCs (e.g. Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Schneider)
- Industrial Fieldbus (e.g. EthernetIP, Pronet)

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (or equivalent)
