In this role, you will lead and deliver on the design, implementation, and experimental validation of novel gate and quantum operations for our dual-rail cavity qubit architecture. You will have hands-on responsibility in the development, implementation, and optimization of gate and operation schemes that deliver high-fidelity performance that advance the development of large-scale error corrected quantum systems.

This position sits at the intersection of experiment, design, and theory and this role may span from component-level characterization through large-scale system-level calibration, testing, and benchmarking. You will work closely with hardware, control, and error-correction teams that translate new concepts into experimentally demonstrated capabilities.

What you'll do

  • Lead research on quantum control and calibration techniques for dual-rail cavity qubits that support our mission to build error-corrected quantum systems
  • Driving pathfinding research to prototype, implement, and experimentally validate of new quantum operations for next-generation quantum processors
  • Develop experiments and novel techniques to calibrate and benchmark single-, two-qubit gates, measurement, reset, and more
  • Perform systematic studies to reveal limiting error mechanisms and identify solutions to improve and mitigate these limitations
