About the Position

We are looking for someone who can enrich our knowledge and whose HFT experience we might be missing today that will be crucial for tomorrow.

Working in small teams, the expectation is to expand on the pool of existing research ideas and to generate your own.  These can range from modest improvements to entirely new strategies.  Building upon your experience, you will be the primary driver of the research direction.

Responsibility for a strategy includes modelling, testing, and monitoring its trading in production.

We expect teammates to collaborate with others, share findings and knowledge.

Must-Haves

  • 3+ years of quant experience in MFT or HFT

  • Deep understanding of probability and statistics, data modelling skills, scientific thinking

  • Some coding skills, e.g., Python

  • High agency. You care about results, you care about improving things around you, you own things end-to-end.

  • Willing to relocate to Bratislava

Nice-to-Haves (Absolutely Not Necessary)

  • Crypto experience

  • Ability to write production grade code

  • Leadership experience

Interview Process
  • Short problem solving: Take-home challenge that you can do in your free time focused on probability, logic, and mathematical skills 

  • Quant Interview: Video call with our senior Quants focused on problem solving and general cognitive ability.

  • Betting Games: Engage in a set of betting games to evaluate reasoning and decision-making skills.

  • Deep-Dive into Your Experience: A conversation with Wincent’s CIO on the depth of your experience and quant/trading knowledge.

Compensation

The compensation package consists of four parts: cash, equity, bonuses, and ability to invest into the Wincent fund.

Equity

Skin-in-the game is a big upside if we succeed as a company.  Five-year equity grants are part of the total compensation package.

Bonuses

Bonuses are awarded twice a year. They are discretionary and based on individual and company performance.

Fund Investment

Opportunity to invest in the firm’s proprietary fund, established in 2017 and typically reserved for partners and employees, which has built a strong track record over time.
