Senior Quality Test Engineer I

Responsibilities:

• Automation Framework Development: Design, develop, and maintain efficient automation test suites using Webdriver.io (primary) or Playwright or Cypress

• Design: Analyze product requirements , design & develop new automated test frameworks or maintain existing ones with new ideas for optimization

• API Testing : Support and perform comprehensive testing for RESTful APIs to ensure reliability, security, and performance.

• Observability Implementation: Evaluate and generate insights required for maintaining Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) practices, ensuring clear communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• CI/CD Integration: Architect and optimize the test automation framework with integration to Jenkins or GitHub Actions or BrowserStack or LambdaTest

• Accessibility Testing: Knowledge on evaluating manual accessibility issues to ensure compliance with WCAG guidelines using tools like Axe-Core or Pa11y or Wave

• Performance Testing: Knowledge on curating the performance requirements for executing performance load/stress testing using tools such as K6 , Locust or JMeter

• Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product managers, DevOps and other QA engineers to identify requirements and ensure sufficient test coverage.

• Defect Management: Identify, record, document significantly, and track bugs using defect tracking tools.

Requirements:

• Experience: 5+ years of experience in software quality engineering with a strong focus on test automation

• Automation Tools: Proven expertise in writing automation tests using JavaScript/Python/Java . Strong preference for candidates with Webdriver.io/Playwright experience as it is currently utilized in the project.

• API Testing: Solid understanding of RESTful API concepts and experience testing them using tools like Postman, Insomnia , or within Playwright/Mocha

• CI/CD Pipelines: Experience setting up execution of automation suites in CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins).

• Accessibility Needs: Knowledge of WCAG standards and experience with accessibility testing tools (e.g., Axe, Lighthouse, NVDA).

• Programming Skills: Proficiency in JavaScript/Python/Java

• Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS) , New Relic , Cloudflare , Pendo , Graffana dashboard  and containerization (Docker) etc will be considered added advantage

• Knowledge of performance testing tools and types

• Expertise on utilizing Copilot/Cursor/Windsurf agents for planning , building and fixing code issues
