Position Summary

Vita Coco’s Sr. Quality Manager will be a key member of the Operations Team and will partner with Supply Chain and the Technical Team to oversee company quality assurance and compliance.

Responsibilities:

Here is how the Sr. Quality Manager will help drive the company’s quality performance:

• Work closely with Corporate HQ in New York on the design and implementation of Vita Coco Quality Policy to all manufacturing partners in North and South America.

• Compile, analyze, and evaluate data trends to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products based on business quality KPIs.

• Provides leadership and guidance for all Quality aspects to ensure compliance with regulatory and quality systems of Vita Coco.

• Conducts internal audit assessments of all co-manufacturing facilities, issues timely reports, process evaluation, trend analysis, change management, and coordinate required follow-up actions for non-conformances.

• Responsible for evaluation and resolution of customer / consumer product quality issues and in close communication with Corporate HQ.

• Coordinates product release with rest of Corporate Quality team at HQ.

• Conducts training to co-manufacturing facilities of sensory evaluation requirements and other topics as needed.

• Coordinates with external laboratories when testing is required and consolidates analytical results.

• Create and implement continuous processes improvements and procedures for overall Vita Coco quality management systems.

• Support new supplier and ingredient onboarding and review QA documentation, specifications, BOMs, and other documentation to verify as needed.

• Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

• 5 years’ experience in quality control/quality assurance, ideally in an aseptic beverage environment.

• Food Technology background.

• Experience with third party auditors (FSSC, BRC a plus).

• Ability to work with and in different cultures and has proven very strong intercultural skills in the past. Fluent in English, Spanish or Portuguese a plus.

• Demonstrated ability to translate strategic vision into an executable plan and then get the plan done.

• Good organizational, documentation and project management skills.

• Advanced statistical analysis skills

• Expert level proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

• Proven leadership skills with demonstrated experience in leading and driving change within a team.

• Entrepreneurial with a self-starter mentality; creates their own urgency.

• Available to work extended hours to meet critical deadlines.

• Available for international and domestic travel.

At The Vita Coco Company, compensation decisions are dependent upon a variety of factors, which may include, but are not limited to skill set, experience, education, training, licensure and certifications, knowledge and abilities of the applicant, alignment with market data, and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current pay range for this position is $100,000-$120,000. This range may vary for positions that will be performed outside of California, Colorado, Nevada, New York City, Westchester County, NY, Rhode Island, or Washington.
