The Senior Quality Lead coordinates all the planning, execution and recap functions involved

in testing and injecting quality safeguards into the development and deployment of software

applications. This individual leads other QA professionals and fosters collaboration and

cooperation with the greater project team in the pursuit of delivering a high-quality product.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Leads the QA team for a large transformational project and may lead multiple quality
  • leads and is answerable to all activities conducted to ensure quality.
  • Oversees the quality in all phases of the project including Requirement review, test
  • script preparation, and test execution and recap.
  • Identifies gaps and confusions in the user interface and/or the workflow, etc. and
  • highlights to the project team the risks associated with technical debt, schedule
  • slippage or other areas of concern.
  • Schedules resources, estimates QAS portion of project estimates and forecasts,
  • manages testing needs with Shared Services, manages the PLC tollgates, calculates and
  • manages traceability and test coverage, assist with test result triage, reports on overall
  • application/project health and intercedes, when appropriate, with remediation efforts.
  • Creates a collaborative partnership with the Tech Lead, the PM, the BAs and other
  • project participants and actively engages in grooming sessions, status meetings and
  • other project meetings. Highly valued as a thought leader contributing to the final
  • product.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSEducation/Certifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required.
Experience:
  • Three plus years of experience in quality assurance with keen organizational skills, an ability to both delegates, lead and “dig in” with extensive knowledge of quality assurance practices and methods.
  • Understands the test automation coverage and guides exploratory testers to fill the gaps.
  • Intimate understanding of an application domain, the release schedule, the user community, and can work with the other members of the project team to drive delivery.
  • Understands how to assess an application’s functionality by risk, impact, and importance to prioritize the test execution and concentrate test coverage appropriately.

  • Command of the types and number of resources needed for each effort and the ability to maximize their assignments to generate the greatest impact.
  • A process optimizer - - sees the opportunities for automation, can spot tasks and tests that do not add value and can eliminate waste to optimize the resources at-hand.
  • Expertise in exploratory testing and guiding others in exploratory test paths to maximize coverage.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Able to lead in all phases of the project and can communicate with others in the organization about the status and risks of the effort in detail.
  • Solid analytical skills to assess and report on quality metrics, app health, and project risks.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $80,000.00 - $150,000.00 annually. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for incentive compensation which may include production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives.

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $59,300.00 - $110,100.00 annually depending on job-related factors such as level of experience. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for short-term incentive compensation and deferred incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
