Job Summary
GLG’s Technology business is seeking a highly technical Senior Quality Engineer to define and build a modern, AI-first quality engineering function from the ground up. We are not looking to build a large traditional QA team; instead, we want to establish a lean, highly specialized capability that uses Generative AI as a force multiplier.
This role will play a critical part in embedding automated quality gates within our CI/CD pipelines, designing GenAI-assisted automation frameworks, and enabling development teams to deliver high-quality software at scale. The ideal candidate is an architect-level automation expert with hands-on experience using modern AI tools to accelerate test creation, enhance test maintenance (self-healing), and drive intelligent root-cause analysis.
Position Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- AI-First Framework Architecture: Define and implement GenAI-assisted automation frameworks and continuous testing strategies across web, API, and integration layers.
- GenAI Tool Integration: Evaluate, integrate, and maintain modern AI testing tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot for code generation, Applitools for Visual AI, or autonomous platforms like Mabl/Testim) to accelerate test coverage.
- Synthetic Data & Scenarios: Leverage LLMs and prompt engineering to generate privacy-safe synthetic test data and comprehensive edge-case scenarios directly from user stories.
- Intelligent Pipeline Integration: Embed quality gates in the CI/CD pipeline (unit test execution, coverage enforcement, linting, and security scans) and define branching and PR workflows.
- Code Quality & PR Reviews: Review and approve pull requests with a focus on testability, code quality, and automation readiness.
- AI-Driven Analytics: Establish metrics and dashboards and use AI-driven failure clustering for faster root cause analysis (RCA) and post-implementation reviews (PIRs).
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate cross-functionally with Development, DevOps, and Release Management teams to maintain quality and control throughout the software lifecycle , supporting the Software Change Management process.
Position Requirements:
- 6–9 years of experience in software QA, with a proven track record of architecting and scaling test automation frameworks from scratch.
- Advanced coding skills in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Java.
- Hands-on experience building frameworks using modern, AI-friendly tools like Playwright or Cypress.
- Applied experience with Generative AI tools in a software engineering context (e.g., GitHub Copilot, advanced prompt engineering, leveraging LLMs for code/test generation).
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps) and PR-based testing workflows.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and the technical depth to mentor engineering teams on shift-left quality practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience implementing AI-native, self-healing testing platforms (e.g., Roost.ai, Mabl, Testim, Applitools).
- Solid understanding of Change Management and ITIL processes.
- Familiarity with test management tools (TestRail, Zephyr) and defect tracking via JIRA.
- Exposure to audit or compliance-driven environments (ISO27001, SOC2).
