At Qantas Loyalty, we’re constantly evolving to create more meaningful, personalised and rewarding experiences for our customers. Our teams are driven by curiosity, collaboration and a commitment to excellence and we’re looking for a Senior Quality Engineer to help us deliver the high-quality digital products our members rely on.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for testing Qantas Loyalty applications and enhancing our automation capability. You’ll drive continuous improvements to our test automation frameworks, evolve our CI/CD infrastructure, and uplift engineering quality across the organisation. You’ll also explore non-functional testing such as performance, accessibility and security, and champion best-practice testing approaches across delivery teams.
You’ll Have:
- 5+ years’ experience in medium/large-enterprise QA environments
- 5+ years’ experience designing and implementing automation for web-based applications
- Demonstrated experience improving QA processes, workflows and engineering practices
- Extensive experience with Git, GitHub and CI/CD pipelines, including code reviews
- Strong troubleshooting capability, including identifying and resolving defects and performance bottlenecks in production
- Proficiency in JavaScript
- Hands-on experience with Playwright or Cypress
- Deep understanding of unit, integration, system, end-to-end, UAT and PVT testing methods
- Experience working within Agile, cross-functional delivery teams
- Knowledge of AWS services including EC2, S3, Lambda, DynamoDB and CloudWatch
- Technical leadership experience — guiding quality engineering practices, supporting Agile processes and contributing positively to team culture
- Experience with content management systems such as Contentful
- Expertise in defining, planning and executing test strategies and test plans
- Familiarity with Splunk, Swagger and related tools
