The opportunity
I am looking for an experienced Senior QA Engineer to join my team. My dream candidate would recognize the importance of both individual and group effort to deliver high quality products that meet customer needs.
In this role, you will contribute significantly to successful results in APM Reliability & Optimization. Reporting to Piotr Jantos (that’s me!), you will work in a collaborative environment and have the possibility to provide guidance to the wider R&D team. You will see your work transformed into a tangible product. Your main activities will be focused on increasing our test automation coverage as well as improving our overall quality assurance processes and activities. You will have the opportunity to shape our product and make sure that our customers do not suffer from the insufficient quality of it.
Our tech stack and tools include: Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Servlets, REST API, ORMs (Hibernate), SLQ (PostgreSQL, SQL Server), React JS, Maven, Git, Azure DevOps, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, ELK, and Prometheus, PowerBI, Apache Superset.
How you’ll make an impact
- Perform testing and root cause analysis.
- Define test objectives, write and execute test cases and test scenarios.
- Automate test suits.
- Consult developers at early stages to help them design for testability.
- Ensure the product quality and minimize fault-slip-through.
- Cooperate with developers to resolve any product issues.
- Ensure the quality of documentation related to defects, QA processes, etc.
Your background
- Demonstratable work experience in testing, including test automating.
- Knowledge and experience with QA best practices, methodologies, and tools (ZephyrScale / Azure Devops).
- Knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Experience in working with performance tests.
- Experience in working with Kubernetes, Kafka, RabbitMQ will be a plus.
- Good written and spoken communication in English.
- MSc in Computer science or equivalent preferred. Alternatively, proven track of record in quality assurance with distinguished progression in scope of responsibility.
