Job Description
As our business continues to grow, we have a strategic requirement to hire a Senior Quality Engineer working specifically on Pressure Systems.
The Senior Quality Engineer plays a pivotal role in supporting client projects through providing engineering support, quality management and control services.

Key Responsibilities to include.
- Deliver daily quality management activities as directed by the Client's Quality Director.
- Conduct design reviews for pressure systems (piping, vessel, equipment and related systems) and ensure quality records meet regulations, codes, and standards.
- Participate in creating and reviewing Programme Quality Delivery Arrangements and MIT plans.
- Oversee and accept Quality Plans and Inspection & Test Plans from the supply chain.
- Establish controls for design or manufacturing Quality Records from sub-contractors.
- Lead the resolution of non-conformances and apply project-wide preventative actions.
- Support Quality Auditors in resolving audit findings promptly.
- Investigate quality issues.
- Provide regular quality reports.
Qualifications
- Experience in large project environment, preferably in the nuclear, oil & gas (or heavily regulated) sector, with significant focus on Product/project quality role, and with a specific knowledge of UK pressure compliance standards.
- Hands on experience carrying out design reviews.
- Working knowledge of the following regulations / standards:
- PSSR Pressure Systems Safety Regulation, PE(S)R Pressure Equipment (Safety) Regulation, PED Pressure Equipment Directives 2014/68/EU, D5500
Additional Information
The post holder will be a direct report to the Quality Function management structure within the Client Project Team and as such will fulfil a key role to ensure compliance and maintenance with quality arrangements across all aspects of project execution.
The Assystem position of Senior Quality Engineer aligns to the NNB/HPC Client roles of:
- Senior Quality Engineer (On-site & Off-site);
- Surveillance Engineer (On-site & Off-site);
- Bulk Inspector (On-site & Off-site);
- LTQR Manager;
- Senior NCR Facilitator;
- Senior Auditor.
Security clearance:
Due to the nature of work to be undertaken applicants will be required to meet certain criteria in order to attain a minimum level of UK BPSS security.
