Job DescriptionThe Senior Quality Engineer (LTQR Manager) supports client projects within Multi‑Disciplinary Teams (MDTs), providing high‑quality management and control across documents, records and physical samples. The role ensures full compliance with LTQR processes, EDF/NNB procedures, and regulatory requirements, including LC6.
Operating Environment
Preferably HPC‑site based (Bridgwater), with flexibility to work from other offices or supplier locations as needed.
Key Responsibilities
LTQR & Documentation Management
- Lead the LTQR process across the project lifecycle, including identifying required documentation and physical samples during contractor on‑boarding.
- Develop partitioning strategies and ensure accurate LDRC population and metadata quality.
- Track all required record submissions in line with LTQRs, LDRCs, scheduled dates, and project milestones.
- Organise and manage timely document reviews to ensure compliance, verification, and correct upload into EDRMS.
- Produce and manage LTQR technical and non‑technical checklists, ensuring correct filing and traceability.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with Project, Quality, and Completions Managers to ensure Works Information (WI) contains all required handover content.
- Liaise with Construction, Engineering, Project Management and Tier 1 Contractors to ensure clear linkage of all LTQRs (including offsite and onsite manufactured records).
- Represent the LTQR team at Quality Boards and other relevant meetings, providing clear reporting on LTQR progress, risks, and schedule alignment.
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and manage Record Support Officers to ensure efficient review, approval, and delivery of LTQRs supporting installation, commissioning, and handover.
- Drive continuous improvements in LTQR processes, procedures, and work instructions.
Compliance & Regulatory Assurance
- Ensure all contractors and MDT members understand LTQR requirements and LC6 obligations.
- Deliver briefings, training, refresher sessions, and support audits (e.g., Supply Chain, LTQR, LC6, ONR).
- Support the development, maintenance, and improvement of LTQR surveillance, RFT/FOAK processes, and modulated review approaches.
Tools, Systems & Process Development
- Support review tools and solutions for Lead Reviewers and QMLs.
- Assist with Asset Suite, Switch, and other LTQR systems; contribute to bulk acceptance container construction and LTQR processing.
- Maintain and develop training schemes for LTQR systems.
- Recommend improvements to EDRMS data and reporting across all LTQR‑related tools.
Procedure & Lifecycle Management
- Contribute to revisions of NNB procedures, specifications, and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate with Quality, Engineering, and Project teams to manage the full lifecycle of records—creation, classification, retention, retrieval, preservation, and disposal—to ensure compliance, reduce risk, and preserve essential project information.
- Chartered Quality Professional (CQP).
- Proven ability to provide clear, practical guidance on procedural requirements to support successful LTQR delivery and close‑out.
- Strong background in the installation and erection of large‑scale Petro‑chemical, Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical plant; nuclear experience is highly advantageous.
- Effective operator within multi‑disciplinary teams (MDT), coordinating seamlessly with NNB functions and contractor partners.
- Confident relationship builder, able to collaborate and influence across diverse internal and external stakeholder groups.
- Skilled in working with Construction, Project, and Contractor teams to ensure the structured, logical collation of completion documentation.
- Experience delivering defined project scopes valued between £50m–£100m, or on major complex programmes (£1bn–£3bn) is an advantage.
- Results‑driven with a proactive mindset; takes ownership, uses initiative, and consistently delivers high‑quality outcomes to programme.
- Forward‑thinking and strategically aware, contributing to the continuous development of processes and procedures to meet project demands and maintain LC6 compliance.
- Open, adaptable, and receptive to change, actively promoting innovation and continuous improvement.
