We’re looking for our next Sr Quality Assurance Engineer. Could It Be You?

The Sr QA Engineer is a high-impact individual contributor responsible for the end-to-end quality of Questbank's critical payment lifecycles, specifically Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) and Real-Time Rail (RTR) ecosystems. You will own hands-on technical validation, AI-assisted test automation, and deep domain expertise across payment flows, ensuring seamless integration across mobile, web, core banking (Temenos T24), and third-party platforms.

In this role, responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

• Building, maintaining, and executing automated test scripts using Playwright and Appium across banking flows, leveraging AI tooling (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude) for test script creation, test data generation, and execution within CI/CD pipelines.

• Conducting hands-on testing for critical payment systems, specifically EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) and RTR (Real-Time Rail), including account originations, cash and card payment flows, and Temenos T24 core banking integrations. Execute SQL queries for backend data validation and ensure compliance with AML/KYC/FINTRAC requirements

• Running automated test suites within CI/CD quality gates, investigate test failures using Datadog for root-cause analysis, and track and manage the complete defect lifecycle in JIRA.

• Working closely with cross-functional product, and engineering team members to clarify acceptance criteria and ensure comprehensive test coverage.

• Executing on end-to-end test cases and automated scripts for banking workflows

• Handling hands-on API testing (REST) and message verification (Kafka)

• SQL querying for database validation and backend transaction verification

• Running automated suites within CI/CD pipelines and analyzing run results

• Logging inspection and defect investigation using Datadog and JIRA

• Everyday Banking: payments, accounts, different internal rails of money movements and payment optimization. 

• Testing cash and card payment flows (EFT, RTR, debit/credit)

• Temenos T24 / core banking integration

• AML/KYC/FINTRAC compliance validation

• Validating of Open Banking and FAPI endpoints

• Leveraging AI assistants (Copilot, Cursor, Claude) for test script and data creation

• Maintaining and expanding Playwright and Appium test automation repositories

So are YOU our next Sr Quality Assurance Engineer? You are if you…

• Have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Have 7+ years of Software Quality Assurance experience with a focus on automation and back-end testing.

• Have 2+ years in Banking, Payments, or Fintech with hands-on domain testing experience.

• Have proficiency with Playwright, Selenium, or Appium in scale CI/CD environments.

• Have experience with AI coding assistants (Copilot, Cursor, Claude) and Datadog observability tools.

• Have knowledge of Temenos T24 and regulatory standards like PCI-DSS, AML, KYC, and FINTRAC.
  
  

Compensation Information:

• Base salary range: $90,000 - $110,000

• The final compensation package will be commensurate with the successful candidate's experience, skills, and geographic location (Canada). It includes a comprehensive benefits plan and a competitive incentive (bonus) program for Full-Time Permanent roles.
