POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Quality Engineers help create solutions as part of the Quality Assurance and Engineering Team. They work to find defects, determine the causes of those defects, and provide solutions to defected problems. 

JOB RESPONSIBLITIES

  • Determining quality improvement factors.
  • Implementing methods to inspect, test and evaluate the reliability of Repair Processes, products, and production equipment.
  • Making sure processes adhere to quality standards. 
  • Preparing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data.
  • Working in accordance with deadlines for delivery of products and services.
  • Actively participates in root cause analysis.
  • Collecting, organizing, monitoring, and distributing information related to the Quality Management System and process improvement functions.
  • Ensure that procedures and work instructions are documented according to corporate AS9110 and regulatory standards.
  • Perform and report supplier and internal audits.
  • Provide supplier quality performance input to support the Quality Management System
  • Lead internal and external audits (such as ISO, FDA, or AS9100 requirements) and ensure adherence to quality management systems.

Education & Experience:

  • AS9110/9100 Auditor Certified.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality Engineering or working with Quality Management Systems.
  • Quantum Control Experience Preferred
  • Previous work experience in an engine MRO environment preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • The successful candidate must have strong computers skills, working knowledge of MS Office applications and advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
  • Ability to work with a wide range of technical, sales, repair, management personnel and business process owners globally.
  • Interpersonal and negotiating skills necessary to build effective working relationships.
  • Proven ability to effectively lead cross-functional teams and perform root cause analysis.

Working Conditions / Environment / Special Requirements

  • Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including, OSHA, EPA, FAA, DOT, and State and Federal regulations.
  • Ability to work in varied types of environments including office spaces, restrooms, warehouses and outdoor areas.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and different shifts if required

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit, stand and walk for prolonged periods
  • Frequently required to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, climb ladders/step stools
  • Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions with hands, wrists, and arms
  • Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor settings and in varying temperatures
  • Must be able to wear protective gear as required or needed (e.g. gloves, mask, safety glasses, etc.). 

Skills Required

  • AS9110/AS9100 Auditor Certified
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Quality Engineering or with Quality Management Systems
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and strong MS Office skills
  • Experience performing root cause analysis and leading cross-functional teams
  • Quantum Control experience
  • Previous work experience in an engine MRO environment
