Job Description

Cornerstone Building Brands is searching for a motivated and experienced quality assurance professional for our Commercial, Shelter Solutions Metal Building Brands. Based onsite at our Atlanta Components manufacturing plan, this individual will guarantee that the site follows industry manufacturing standards along with internal procedures compliant with CBB Quality Systems. Duties will include reviewing, training, and managing the quality system within the plant, maintaining company procedures for compliance to IAS and AISC standards, responding to policy violations and implementing corrective actions with Plant Leadership.

The ideal candidate will be professional, highly analytical, and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. To prosper in this role, you should be fluent in quality management standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct audits and inspection of material through all stages of manufacturing and shipping process while providing feedback for corrective action and compliance.
  • Communicate and track audit findings with plant leadership and production team on floor and during accountability meetings.
  • Implement, audit, and maintain critical to quality stations within the plant.
  • Facilitate prioritization matrix identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Track and drive scrap improvement projects within the plant.
  • Review and analyze audit findings for proper containment and corrective action procedures.
  • Aid in document control activities – revision, posting, approval and training.
  • Use calipers and other measuring devices to conduct standard testing of both WIP and finished goods.
  • Aid in identify best practices in the manufacturing process.
  • Document non-conformities and oversee completion of NCR activities with plant team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience recommended.
  • 3 – 5 years proven experience in a quality role.
  • Good knowledge of quality methodologies: Process Mapping, FMEA, Control plan, Pareto, Fishbone, 5 Whys, PDCA, 8D, SPC.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Highly analytical with strong attention to detail.
