As a core member of our Global QA team, you will work with dedicated professionals to ensure our clients maintain access to their critical information assets while keeping Citco ahead of industry trends.
Your Role:
The successful candidate will play a key role in the planning, creation and execution of manual tests required to validate the quality of the applications under test for both agile and waterfall methodologies.
As a Senior QA Analyst, your role includes working closely with multiple stakeholders to define suitable testing strategies based on the characteristics of the individual projects.
Although your role does not directly include test automation and performance testing, as a Senior QA analyst your role will include working with the automation and performance testing team to propose appropriate prioritization.
The QA team are part of a team of IT professionals that are responsible for the development and support of IT applications with a mix of agile and waterfall processes.
The candidate will interact closely with multiple teams such as Global Citco QA team, development and business analysts, and other technical groups and resources within Citco.
Creation, maintenance, optimization and execution of manual test scripts which need to be scalable, highly performant, maintainable and meet high-quality standards.
Participation in agile testing and help transition suitable applications to an agile framework.
Participate in peer reviews of manual test scripts to ensure adherence to testing standards.
Produce individual QA status reports while supporting the defect management process.
Work closely with members of the Test team adhering to QA procedures and methodology.
Work closely with members of the Development team.
Work closely with members of the Business Analysis team and Business stakeholders
Work closely with members of the Project Management team.
Communicate and report on assigned tasks to the QA Lead/Manager and PM.
Take responsibility and exhibit ownership of assigned tasks.
About You:
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, or similar discipline
ISTQB Software Certification.
2+ years’ experience in an agile testing specific role.
5+ years’ experience in a functional testing specific role.
Strong background in QA processes, the Software Development Lifecycle and methodologies.
Experience with the following applications/tools: JIRA, Xray, Confluence.
Able to set priorities, to be flexible with a high degree of accuracy.
Display critical, quality-orientated, skeptical thinking about the product.
Proactive person willing to accept responsibility with very little handholding.
Demonstrated proficiency in interpersonal and communication skills including oral and written English.
Ability to work in fast paced, complex Business & IT environments
Must be positive and solution-orientated with team members and stakeholders.
Respond to change quickly including changing, adding and improving test approach.
Flexibility in work schedule according to changing project and business needs.
Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to manage and prioritize tasks with a sense of urgency.
Must be able to work in a high-pressure environment, either independently or as part of a team.
Accurately evaluate and report test results, test progress and product quality.
