About the job
Vonage is looking for a talented and enthusiastic quality architect. You will join an architecture team that works across multiple product lines and with hundreds of engineers. We are looking for someone with proven experience mitigating performance-related quality risks in complex software deployments and distributed systems. You will understand the tradeoffs of different performance testing strategies and be able to explain the pros and cons to stakeholders.
You will collaborate with engineering teams, managers, product managers, and other architects to help set direction across the enterprise. You will need to coach all of these on quality practices and will help drive those practices across engineering teams.

- 10+ years in software development
- Mitigating platform scale and performance risk in a distributed systems environment.

- Understanding all aspects of software development.

- Sharing, teaching and coaching others.
- Finding pragmatic solutions to complex socio-technological problems.
Qualities About You That Might Make Our Decision Easier
- Experience operating in a similar technical lead role.
- Knowledge of Modern Testing.
- Experience in telecommunications.
- Experience with tools such as K-6, Locust, Artillery.io and Galting.
- Seeing the bigger picture and grasping the full scope of the business.
- Be a strong advocate for agile and lean software development practices.
- A drive to always leave things better than how you found them: Code, processes, documentation, interactions with people and every other aspect of your work life.
