Job Title: Senior QC Analyst
Location: Swindon
Reports To: Section Head QC
Position Summary:
Advance your career as a Senior QC Analyst in our Quality Control Chemistry team. This hands-on role supports the Section Head, ensuring timely sample processing and maintaining high-quality standards to meet regulatory requirements. This role offers growth opportunities with comprehensive training and development support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule and prioritise daily analytical tasks.
- Conduct routine and non-routine analyses, ensuring timely QC release of batches.
- Act as a communication link between staff, supervisors, clients, and departments.
- Resolve laboratory issues and conduct OOS investigations.
- Support project work, including method transfer and validation.
- Write and review technical documents.
- Investigate unexpected results and deviations, identifying root causes and corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with GMP and Data Integrity requirements.
- Promote a quality-focused culture within the QC Lab.
- Lead and supervise training in analytical techniques and laboratory procedures.
- Mentor and guide team members.
- Identify and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain professional relationships with clients.
- Exemplify the 4i values: Integrity, Intensity, Innovation, and Involvement.
- Deputise for QC Management when needed.
EH&S Responsibilities:
- Follow emergency procedures and safe systems of work.
- Align with environmental, health, and safety rules.
- Report and investigate accidents and near misses.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field.
- Very strong experience of chemical analytical lab experience, with good GMP knowledge.
- Proficient with a broad range of instrumental and analytical techniques.
- Strong understanding of GMP and QC Laboratory Practice.
- Excellent communication skills and proven experience in training and mentoring.
- Self-starter with strong literacy, numeracy, and computer skills.
