Job Description
We are looking for a Senior QA Test Engineer to ensure the functional quality, reliability, and business readiness of applications on the AWS Fleethub platform.
In this role, you will focus on test strategy, test design, and quality assurance oversight across backend and web applications. You will work closely with AWS Application Developers, Web Developers, and QA Test Automation Engineers to ensure that quality is embedded early in the development lifecycle.
This role complements an automation‑first testing strategy by providing strong functional testing, exploratory testing, and quality governance.
Key Responsibilities
Test Strategy & Quality Assurance
- Define and execute test strategies, test plans, and test cases for AWS Fleethub applications
- Ensure test coverage across functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance scenarios
- Validate business requirements and acceptance criteria in collaboration with the product owner and development teams
Manual & Exploratory Testing
- Perform manual and exploratory testing for complex business workflows and edge cases
- Validate end‑to‑end processes spanning web applications, APIs, and backend services
- Support testing activities for features not yet covered by automation
Defect Management & Quality Reporting
- Identify, document, and track defects using standard defect tracking tools
- Work with developers to prioritize, clarify, and resolve quality issues
- Provide quality metrics and release readiness assessments
Collaboration & Process Alignment
- Work closely with AWS Application Developers and Web Developers throughout the sprint lifecycle
- Work with global, cross‑functional teams
- Support Agile ceremonies (planning, refinement, reviews) from a quality perspective
- Align testing activities with CI/CD and DevSecOps practices
Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to improving testing processes, standards, and documentation
- Stay current with modern QA practices, tools, and methodologies
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline
- 6+ years of experience in software testing in enterprise environments
- Solid hands-on experience with tools like TestRail, TestFlight, Robot Framework, PyCharm, Selenium Web Driver, and Github code version control
- Strong experience in functional, integration, and regression testing
- Solid understanding of REST APIs, JSON/XML, and integration concepts
- Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and modern development lifecycles
- Strong communication, analytical, and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of cloud‑based and microservices architectures
- Exposure to automated testing concepts and tools
- Experience working in DevOps or CI/CD‑driven environments
