As a Senior QA Specialist, you will play a key role in helping Pet Rescue Saga deliver the high-quality experiences that King stands for.
You will be a quality expert within your team, combining hands-on testing expertise with strong ownership, technical guidance, and a focus on continuous improvement. Working closely with agile development teams, you will lead quality activities across complex features and releases, identify and manage risks, support effective decision-making, and help ensure quality is considered throughout the development lifecycle.
You will also contribute beyond individual feature delivery by mentoring others, improving testing practices and ways of working, and helping strengthen quality across the Catalog Games team.
Responsibilities- Lead quality execution within the subteam, translating product and quality goals into clear test strategies, risk-based approaches, and release plans.
- Own quality across complex features and systems from early development through release and live monitoring, ensuring risks, dependencies, and quality criteria are understood and addressed.
- Lead risk analysis for complex features and feature interactions, continuously improving Risk-Based Testing practices based on release outcomes and learnings.
- Drive testability from the start by influencing design and implementation discussions, evolving quality criteria and the team's Definition of Done.
- Use production insights, test evidence, logs, and quality indicators to identify gaps, support root-cause analysis, and drive improvements that reduce future risk.
- Communicate clearly and confidently across different audiences, using evidence and product context to support recommendations and decisions.
- Navigate ambiguity independently, make informed decisions, challenge assumptions constructively, and balance short-term delivery with longer-term player and product impact.
- Mentor and coach other QA Specialists, reviewing test approaches and sharing knowledge, risks, edge cases, and best practices.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve team processes, testing practices, collaboration, and QA Craft standards.
- Contribute positively to team health by giving and receiving feedback, raising issues constructively, and role-modelling expected behaviours.
- Strong experience in mobile game testing, SDLC and live operations, including release validation and production monitoring.
- Strong exploratory testing, risk analysis, test design, and defect investigation skills.
- Experience testing complex systems and integrations, with an understanding of API, integration, component, and end-to-end testing approaches.
- Working knowledge of test automation, CI/CD pipelines, build processes, crash logs, and quality monitoring.
- Experience with JIRA, Confluence, TestRail, or equivalent project and test management tools.
- Strong ownership, prioritisation, problem-solving, and independent decision-making skills.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor others and influence quality practices beyond individual feature delivery.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Fluent in English.
