QUALITY ASSURANCEWhat We Do
The Quality Assurance team owns the testing process, risk management, and quality evaluation of all products and functions across Epic. Our team works closely with developers and production to ensure the best possible user experience for our community and customers.
What You'll Do
Epic seeks Senior QA Programmers to act as stakeholders in the QA of development strike teams on a shared project. You will be working directly with our Designers, Programmers, and Producers on LEGO Fortnite as an area owner, overseeing the evaluation and planning of testing, allocating your time between deep investigations, and tooling/automation of test efforts for your area to drive the quality bar of your embedded space. This area is responsible for our online infrastructure, specifically data persistence within our large organization that prizes intellect, creativity, and nimble problem-solving skills. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter with ample QA experience and a passion for innovating and improving upon the Project and Product Quality Assurance Process.
In this role, you will
- Work with Persistence Leads, producers, and QA management to define acceptance criteria, identify risks, and plan testing coverage for upcoming features/releases
- Coordinate test efforts between geographically distributed teams, vendors, and agencies to deliver the highest quality product
- Build test strategies that include the use of tools and automation as well as test plans to cover multiple features in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Help ensure that our persistence-managed content is consistent with player standards release over release and meets our standards and expectations.
- Using a mix of manual, technical, and automated testing skills to execute a variety of testing techniques across your product to analyze the quality of said product
- Analyze and troubleshoot reported defects and internal issues - including debugging or use of advanced IDE tools
- Track and Report on quality data and utilize that data to drive conversations around product quality and the development of health
What we're looking for
- 3+ years of software testing experience in a fast-paced environment
- Solid understanding of test methodologies and iterative development
- Technical understanding of web, mobile, XR, or game technologies
- Experience with Game Engines like Unreal Engine 5 is a plus
- Experience with at least one of the following programming languages: C++, C#, Python
- Experience with diverse and fast-paced development pipelines and associated tools like Jira, SmartSheets, G Suite
- Knowledge in one or more of these areas: Game Engines or 3D Software toolsets, Backend servers, and APIs, Games as a Service model development, Agile/Reactive test strategies, UE4/5 game engine experience (or similar)
- Experience in testing within a live service environment
- Experience testing complex microservice-based infrastructure
- Experience testing both functional and non-functional requirements
This role is open to multiple locations in North America (including CA & WA).

The expected annual base pay range(s) for this position are detailed below. Each base pay range is relevant only for individuals who are residents of or will be expected to work within the specified locale. Compensation varies based on a variety of factors, which include (but aren’t limited to) things such as skills and competencies, qualifications, knowledge, and experience. In addition to base pay, most employees are eligible to participate in Epic’s generous benefit plans and discretionary incentive programs (subject to the terms of those plans or programs).

$126,429—$185,429 USD
Washington Base Pay Range
$114,935—$168,572 USD
