As a Senior QA Engineer, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality products while driving continuous improvement across our QA practices. You’ll work in a fast-paced environment, tackling complex problems head-on and ensuring our products meet the highest standards for functionality, security, and performance. Plus, you’ll have the opportunity to guide and inspire junior engineers, helping them grow as part of a supportive and collaborative team.
Key accountabilities:
- Create test designs, cases, processes, and test data to ensure scalability without compromising
performance using smart test data - Execute automated regression tests after each release to speed up Big Data validation
- Collaborate on business requirements, providing test scripts and scenarios to ensure developers understand them
- Design and write test automation scripts using frameworks
- Execute test cases, report defects, and define severity and priority
- Follow defined standards and procedures for all test-related work
- Document bugs for development teams to easily reproduce issues
- Participate in testing procedure walk-throughs and prepare reports
- Contribute to predictable, quality release delivery
- Maintain detailed documentation of test cases and results
- Proactively identify and solve issues, proposing innovative solutions
- Work within agile teams to ensure quality is prioritised
Skills and Experience
- Strong experience in QA and testing across the full SDLC, including API Testing, QA automation and tooling
- Ability to interpret requirements and technical specs to create valuable test cases
- Familiarity using Docker, Kubernetes, and continuous delivery/release pipelines
- Relevant experience in Testing enterprise applications on AWS and Azure cloud environments
- Considerable Experience in coding using Java, Scala, Python, and other languages
- Familiarity with Hadoop, NoSQL, MySQL, and Elasticsearch
- Strong analytical, development, and testing skills, including translating requirements into test scenarios
- Attention to detail in spotting patterns and irregularities
- Willingness to learn new technologies
- Experience with full project lifecycle from concept to result
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and client-facing skills
- Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies and development processes
- Proficient in GIT and automated QA processes in agile environments
- Experience in test automation and DevOps tooling
- Practical knowledge of Big Data technologies like Spark and Hadoop
