In this role, you will help ensure the quality, reliability, and security of Acronis RMM capabilities used daily by MSPs and IT teams worldwide. You’ll work at the intersection of endpoint management, monitoring, patching, automation, and security—testing complex distributed client-server systems that must be stable at scale and safe by design.
You’ll dive deep into advanced technical areas, including:
• Endpoint Agent & OS Internals: Validate agent behavior on Windows/macOS/Linux; troubleshoot services, permissions, updates, and performance impacts.
• Monitoring & Alerting Pipelines: Test metrics/log collection, alert rules, routing, suppression/escalation, and notification delivery.
• Remote Access & Remediation: Ensure reliable remote actions (commands/scripts, software deployment, tasks, policies) with correct auditing and error handling.
• Patch & Software Management: Verify detection, approval, installation workflows, reboot logic, rollback/failure handling, and compliance reporting.
• Platform Integrations & APIs: Test REST/JSON APIs, integrations, and multi-tenant behavior across cloud services and internal components.
• AI-Assisted QA: Use modern AI tooling (cloud and local LLMs, copilots, AI agents, etcd) to speed up analysis and increase coverage—while keeping strict validation and security standards.
We are seeking a person who will help us develop and enhance tools and applications that power the RMM experience across Acronis products and provide a seamless end-customer experience to thousands of users worldwide. We are looking for a highly motivated person with a strong desire to learn. The position involves a substantial portion of “hands-on” work and requires an individual able to work independently with minimal supervision.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Test complex client-server / cloud applications related to RMM (agents, policies, alerts, remote actions, patching, reporting).
Analyze feature requirements, verify product functionality alignment with requirements, and proactively identify gaps, risks, and missing scenarios.
Develop and execute manual test plans covering functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end scenarios, including negative testing and edge cases.
Build and maintain test environments: deploy endpoints (physical/virtual), simulate real customer setups (MSP / multi-tenant), configure networks, permissions, and security controls.
Perform deep troubleshooting: analyze logs, telemetry, and network behavior; provide clear root cause analysis and actionable reproduction steps.
Collaborate closely with development teams, architects, and product owners to refine requirements, improve observability, and drive quality improvements.
Investigate customer issues in production-like contexts and participate in technical discussions with R&D.
WHAT YOU BRING
5+ years of experience as a QA Engineer (Senior-level impact: ownership, depth, and independence).
Strong knowledge of QA principles, methodologies, test design techniques, and defect lifecycle management.
Solid understanding of client-server architectures and distributed systems basics.
Strong understanding of REST/JSON APIs, authentication/authorization concepts, and tools like Postman/curl (or equivalent).
Proficiency with Windows OS administration and troubleshooting including Windows internals,
Working knowledge of at least one of Linux/macOS (installation, configuration, troubleshooting).
Strong problem-solving skills across layers: application / OS / networking / cloud components.
Experience creating high-quality test cases, reports, and clear documentation.
Practical experience using AI tools (cloud and/or local) and/or AI agents to improve QA throughput and quality, with a clear habit of validating results and protecting sensitive data.
Upper-Intermediate English (written and spoken).
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional, international team.
NICE TO HAVE
Experience with RMM / endpoint management / patch management / remote access products or MSP environments.
Experience with containers (Docker)
Knowledge of observability tooling (metrics/logs/traces) and performance testing basics.
