Context/Role
We are seeking a Senior QA Engineer to drive quality in our cutting-edge platform for high-volume, multi-country users. The Value & Billing (V&B) team is responsible for managing client value processes and billing operations, including contract terms, invoicing, payment status, and integration with financial systems. Their work ensures accurate billing, payment reconciliation, and support for multi-currency and multi-country requirements across the platform.

Your role
As a Senior QA Engineer, based in Bucharest, you will be a key player in driving quality across your designated perimeter. Your main responsibilities will be:
- Management of the quality activities: Build the test strategy of the team and define the right way of doing quality collaborating with your PO, Scrum Master, and tech team.
- Shift-Left Testing: Influence the product team early in the development cycle, focusing on edge cases and acceptance criteria.
- Automation Advocacy: Champion test automation strategies, ensuring robust and efficient automated test coverage. Build your roadmap with a risk-based approach.
- End-to-End Testing: Design and implement comprehensive end-to-end testing strategies for cloud-native architectures (APIs, Microservices) coordinating test activities.
- Tool Utilization & Adoption: Leverage Jira and the Atlassian suite for test planning and execution and use Gherkin language for test scripting.
- Collaboration: Work closely with developers to integrate quality practices throughout the development process.
Your profile
You could be our next teammate if you have:
- English fluent (a must)
- 5-8 years minimum of experience in software testing and QA with a strong appetite on API test
- Technical Proficiency: Strong hands-on experience in test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Cucumber).
- Cloud-Native Architecture: Experience testing cloud-native applications, including microservices and APIs.
- Experience with Zuora Billing and SalesForce are a plus
- High-Volume Applications: Experience working on products serving large user bases across multiple countries and languages.
- Agile Experience: Proven experience in agile environments, with a focus on shift-left testing practices.
- End-to-End Testing: Strong background in both front-end (web/mobile) and back-end integration testing.
- Collaboration Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in cross-functional teams.
- Test Management Tools: Proficiency in using Jira and the Atlassian suite for test management.
- Gherkin Language: Experience in writing and executing tests using Gherkin language.
