Senior QA Engineer

Your Role

We’re looking for a Sr. QA Engineer to join our rapidly growing team and help up-level our product quality. The ideal candidate will have a background in a technical field and have several years of experience in Test Engineering and QA. They are methodical self-starters with a passion for quality and continuous learning, which are key to the continued growth and success of our business.

Please note, we are open to hiring someone to come into our Toronto offices on a hybrid basis (3 days / week).

You Will

• Create, execute, and maintain test plans thoroughly (both manual and automated) to qualify product releases and features

• Report bugs and errors using Asana with in-depth details to help the engineering team identify and fix the issue

• Take ownership of test outcomes, track defects, and follow up to ensure that our customers have a high-quality product experience

• Conduct root cause analysis on bugs and refine test plans to prevent similar future bugs

• Work closely with engineering and product teams on troubleshooting as well as new test case development

• Conduct exploratory testing to find new edge cases / bugs, and further enrich our test plans

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience

• 4+ years of Quality Engineering and/or test engineering experience

• Experience with automated test frameworks and tools such as Postman, Playwright, Cypress, Jest, or Pytest.

• Experience with QA process, methodologies, and test case management tools such as TestRail

• Experience in Python, Javascript, Java, or equivalent coding language

Nice to Haves

• Experience thriving in a fast-moving and ambiguous environment that demands constant self-prioritization is a plus

• Experience in project management approaches, tools, and phases of a project life cycle is a plus
