Job Summary
We are looking for a QA engineer with 5+ years of experience to join the Industrious Engineering Team. Technology is at the heart of re-thinking coworking and you will play an integral role in shaping our vision of a better work-day into reality. Industrious engineers create an environment of curiosity and thrive on unique, meaningful challenges.
We understand that great engineering teams are built upon relationships as much as they are built on inspiring work. You will collaborate with the product and development teams to implement our testing framework with emphasis on scalable and resilient test solutions. You will play a key role in decisions that build the foundation for our testing framework. Framework that you help make and maintain will be used to test digital products used by thousands of members, and keep our system away from bugs and downtime.

We have a strong preference for candidates based in Montreal, Canada.

Responsibilities

• Establish processes to ensure delivery of quality software
• Build test strategies and test plans to cover multiple features and products in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Use a mix of manual and technical testing skills to execute a variety of testing techniques across our products
• Develop end-to-end automated test scenarios and maintain as needed
• Collaborate with developers to test interactions between multiple microservices, APIs, and event-streaming components
• Analyze and troubleshoot reported defects and internal issues
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a QA Engineer. At least 5 years of experience in a previous role. 
• Strong working knowledge of various test phases including functional, integration and regression
• Master of at least one the following programming languages: Java, Typescript.
• Proficiency with Selenium, Appium, and Playwright for UI and mobile automation.
• Hands-on experience with API testing tools like Postman, Rest Assured.
• Deep understanding of distributed architecture  and experience testing event-streaming platforms. Preference for Kafka. 
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g. GitHub Actions, Jenkins) for automated testing integration
• Understanding of cloud infrastructure and tooling (AWS, Docker, etc.)
• A desire for continuous self improvement and the solutions you will work with.
• A knack for collaboration.
