Senior QA Engineer responsible for ensuring product quality across mobile, web, and backend domains. The role designs and executes manual and automated functional, regression, performance, exploratory, and acceptance tests; maintains test plans; investigates and tracks defects; supports release readiness; and collaborates with customers and cross-functional teams. The engineer also identifies automation opportunities, evaluates failure modes, troubleshoots issues, and mentors less-experienced team members.

CMT is looking for a collaborative, customer-committed, and creative Senior QA Engineer, Customer Solutions who wants to join us in making roads safer by making drivers better!

Responsibilities: 

  • Advocate for and ensure a high quality user experience across the entire CMT product base
  • Contribute to standards and procedures for measuring product quality and release readiness. 
  • Design and maintain test plans, scenarios, scripts and procedures based upon business requirements.
  • Perform functional, application, regression and performance tests to ensure current products meet design specifications 
  • Perform ad hoc and exploratory testing throughout the entire software development life cycle
  • Review and provide feedback on product feature requirements and designs 
  • Execute tests, isolate bugs, troubleshoot, and log defects through to defect closure
  • Work with cross-functional teams to explore requirements, designs, and implementations in order to execute acceptance tests and develop quality plans 
  • Utilize a baseline interdisciplinary knowledge & solid proficiency in their specialty domain, mobile, web, backend, etc. 
  • Identify hypothetical failure modes; design and execute tests of hypotheses 
  • Identify and execute automation for common test cases
  • Design & execute functional test scripts and regression testing using automated tools
  • Work directly with customers to help execute end to end testing and understand, diagnose, and resolve issues 
  • Complete any additional tasks as they arise 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience and/or certification in a related field 
  • 4+ years of relevant industry experience in QA 
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems using sound judgment and analytical thinking
  • Proven experience independently contributing to measurable team or organizational outcomes
  • Deep expertise in quality assurance within one or more domains (e.g., mobile, web, backend) 
  • Skilled in designing and executing functional and regression test scripts, both manual and automated
  • Proficiency with test automation tools and frameworks 
  • Comfortable working with minimal supervision and exercising independent judgment
  • Strong collaboration skills, with experience working across cross-functional teams 
  • Experience providing mentorship or support to less-experienced team members
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work directly with internal and external stakeholders
  • Familiarity with identifying hypothetical failure modes and designing tests to validate them
  • Strong understanding of quality metrics, release readiness criteria, and test planning best practices

Base Salary Range

  • The base salary range for this position is: 15,875,100 to 19,843,900 HUF. This range is specifically for Budapest, Hungary.
