Role Summary
We are seeking a Senior QA Engineer to own the quality of our enterprise digital solutions across manual and automated testing. The role covers test strategy, execution, and defect management throughout the delivery lifecycle, working closely with architects, developers, and business analysts to ensure releases meet functional and non-functional requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and maintain the test strategy, test plans, and test cases for assigned projects.
- Perform manual functional, integration, regression, and UAT-support testing across web and mobile platforms.
- Design, build, and maintain automated test suites (UI, API, and regression) using Java, and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
- Review requirements and user stories to derive clear, traceable acceptance criteria and test coverage.
- Log, track, and manage defects to closure, ensuring accurate prioritization and root-cause reporting.
- Conduct API testing, data validation, and cross-browser/cross-device testing.
- Mentor junior QA team members and review their test artifacts.
- Report quality metrics and release readiness to project stakeholders.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of QA experience, including hands-on manual and automation testing.
- Strong proficiency in Java for test automation.
- Proficiency with automation frameworks built on Java (e.g., Selenium WebDriver, REST Assured, TestNG/JUnit).
- Strong experience in API testing (e.g., Postman, REST Assured) and SQL for data validation.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jenkins) and version control (Git).
- Solid understanding of the SDLC/STLC and Agile delivery methodologies.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- ISTQB certification (Foundation or Advanced).
- Experience testing enterprise platforms (e.g., Dynamics 365, Power Platform, SharePoint).
- Experience with build tools (e.g., Maven, Gradle) and BDD frameworks (e.g., Cucumber).
- Experience with performance and security testing.
- Exposure to government or large-scale digital transformation programs.
