Position Overview
We're looking for a Senior QA Engineer to join the Autodesk CER (Customer Error Report) team in the Autodesk Vancouver R&D Center (AVRD) based in Vancouver, Canada. The team's mission is to reinvigorate the CER system and services with the latest web, cloud, and data analysis technologies to better serve the internal customers across product lines, across divisions, and across all disciplines within the company.
This is your chance to help shape the future of the CER team for Project, Field, and Managers to accelerate delivery, save money, and reduce risk. As a Senior QA Engineer, you will be responsible for deploying, operating, managing, optimizing, and monitoring the CER services to make sure they serve Autodesk products with excellent stability, and you should have strong knowledge of the latest web/cloud technologies and be in tune with industry trends.
Responsibilities
Being part of a collaborative tech team
Participate in product testing, including requirements analysis, design review, formulation of test strategies, design, and execution of test cases, defect tracking, software quality analysis, risk analysis, etc.
Develop corresponding automated testing tools and cases according to the needs of business lines.
Work with a high-performance team making an essential individual contribution.
Collaborate with the extended team of software developers, DevOps engineers, and product designers in the United States and other worldwide engineering sites
Keep your ear to the ground, helping define and analyze industry best practices and essential developments in cloud applications
Propose cloud-related optimizations and best practices to improve reliability, performance, scalability, and resiliency
Contribute to a culture of innovation and teamwork
Minimum Qualifications
3+ years of professional experience as a QA Engineer
BS/MS degree in Computer Science, or equivalent subjects
Ability to work effectively within a highly collaborative environment with colleagues around the world
Good understanding of software testing fundamentals, including test design, defect lifecycle, root cause analysis, and quality risk assessment.
Familiarity with test automation concepts and interest in developing or maintaining automated test frameworks/cases
Excellent problem-solving and reasoning skills
Experience in programming languages such as Python, Groovy, or Shell
Demonstrated experience in test framework design and development
Experience with Scrum and agile development processes and methodologies
Preferred Qualifications
Good knowledge of container and microservices technologies
Good knowledge of public cloud platforms such as AWS/Azure
Good knowledge of Microsoft .Net platform is a plus

Salary transparency
Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For Canada based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $84,000 and $123,200. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.Belonging
