The Role:

As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be part of a cross-functional team to ensure adherence to SDLC standards and the release of error-free products.  You will develop an extensive understanding of the application requirements, create and execute tests to assure that released software satisfies these requirements, and work with other functional teams to ensure that the software and corresponding documentation comply with the company Quality Policy.

The ideal candidate will incorporate software industry best-practices and modern tools, including AI, to achieve maximum productivity while ensuring error-free product releases.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure functional requirements clearly define product capabilities and performance metrics
  • Develop a knowledge of Smoke, User Interface, Component, API and E2E testing
  • Create test plans
  • Run and collaborate with the creation of regression plans
  • Create manual test cases
  • Create automated test cases
  • Execute test cases to identify software errors
  • Document and report bugs
  • Assist the development team with remediation cycles
  • Ensure products meet requirements
  • Ensure released software does not have security vulnerabilities
  • Ensure the software lifecycle conforms to the company Quality Policy
  • Ensure released software conforms to the highest quality standards and customer expectations
  • Test different versions of the application to ensure quality and consistency
  • Keep efficiency between fast testing and ensure quality

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with coursework in computer science, engineering, or information technology, or a work history that demonstrates proficiency in software testing
  • Proven experience in Quality Assurance or a similar role
  • Working knowledge of data/database technologies (SQL Server)
  • Experience creating queries to validate data in SQL Server
  • Knowledge about data integrity
  • Database and application architecture understanding
  • Basic knowledge of multiple languages, libraries, and frameworks (e.g. C#, C++, TypeScript)
  • Understanding of networking and communications protocols
  • Understanding of modern cybersecurity standards
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Learning Agility: Quickly absorb new information, adapt to changes, and apply self‑directed learning to improve performance and quality outcomes
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills (this person will be working with team members based in Costa Rica and the US and must be fluent in English)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Test Complete
  • Experience using Jira
  • Experience using Zephyr
  • Experience using AI to solve problems and prompt understanding
