We are looking for a Senior Manual QA Engineer (Web and Mobile) to join our team!
About the Client
Development of integrated responsive front-end web and mobile applications that supports farmers and growers in the use of and natural, organic solutions that improve the health, resilience and productivity of their crops. The application supports the grower in mapping (possible) problems in the crops, choosing the solution to be used and investigating possible side effects of the solution used. In short, with these tools we make life easier for our customers and technical consultants. Think of the use of useful insects, for example the use of parasitic wasps in case of too high numbers of whitefly in cultivation. An existing set of applications has been developed in React and React Native that work on top of a backend from REST API.
Responsibilities:
- Work as a Senior QA Engineer within a QA team, contributing to the quality of Web and Mobile applications
- Execute manual testing activities in line with the defined product strategy
- Create, maintain, and execute test plans, test cases, and test suites using Azure DevOps Test Plans
- Ensure proper traceability between requirements, test cases, and defects in Azure DevOps
- Perform system, integration, regression, and cross-platform testing
- Participate in cross-system and end-to-end testing to ensure stable product behavior
- Actively participate in Sprint ceremonies (Planning, Refinement, Review, Retrospective)
- Collaborate closely with Developers, Product Owners, PMs, and other QA engineers
- Review requirements and acceptance criteria, providing early feedback and quality-focused input
- Identify quality risks and raise them proactively to the team
- Support less experienced QA engineers through knowledge sharing and day-to-day collaboration
- Contribute suggestions and improvements to QA processes, tooling, and practices
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, with a strong focus on Manual QA
- Strong, hands-on expertise with Azure DevOps, including: Test Plans, Test Suites and Test Cases, Defect tracking and requirement traceability
- Solid experience in functional testing of complex applications
- Hands-on experience with: System, Regression, Integration, Cross-browser and cross-device testing
- Experience testing Web applications and mobile apps (iOS & Android)
- Understanding of client-server architecture and REST APIs
- Experience testing web services and backend integrations
- Ability to clearly document: Test cases, Test results, Testing outcomes and findings
- Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments
- Good estimation skills for testing activities
- Understanding of CI/CD principles and how QA fits into delivery pipelines
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- High level of English, spoken and written
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
Nice to have:
- Exposure to test automation (any tools or frameworks)
- Understanding of when automation adds value vs when manual testing is more effective
- Experience validating releases from a QA perspective
- Basic knowledge of performance or load testing concepts
