About the Team
The QA team plays a key role in ensuring Cyera delivers a seamless, reliable, and secure data security platform. Our team focuses on maintaining and improving the quality, stability, and performance of our cloud-native security solutions, working closely with developers, product managers, and customer-facing teams.
We support high-quality releases through strong testing practices, growing automation coverage, and close collaboration across the product development lifecycle. What You’ll Do
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of Cyera’s platform through hands-on testing, automation, and close collaboration with engineering and product teams. The role combines hands-on quality ownership with automation work, with the potential to become more automation-focused over time.
You will help maintain and validate Cyera’s cloud-native platform across major cloud providers, including AWS, GCP, and Azure, ensuring our systems run smoothly and reliably. You’ll work closely with product managers to validate specifications, assist developers in executing them, and act as a product quality champion throughout the software development lifecycle — from customer feedback and product design to development, testing, and feature releases.
You’ll also serve as a key link between customer success, product, and development teams, helping ensure smooth communication, clear alignment, and high-quality delivery. Your work will directly influence the quality of our product and the success of our customers.
RequirementsWhat You’ll Bring
- Test releases, new features, bug fixes, integrations, and key platform flows.
- Design, write, and execute clear and structured test cases and test plans.
- Develop, maintain, and improve automated tests as part of the QA automation suite.
- Validate product requirements and provide feedback from a quality perspective.
- Investigate, reproduce, document, and track bugs using clear and actionable reports.
- Work with data, APIs, UI flows, and cloud environments to validate product behavior.
- Participate in regression and release testing activities.
- Identify opportunities to increase automation coverage and improve testing efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, customer success, and other stakeholders.
- Continuously improve QA processes, testing standards, and overall product quality.
Who You Are
Must-Haves
- 5+ years of experience as a QA Engineer or in a similar role.
- 1+ year of experience in QA automation or a similar automation-focused role.
- Comfortable with hands-on product testing as part of the role.
- Basic to good programming skills in at least one language, such as TypeScript or Python.
- Experience writing and maintaining automated tests using tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or similar frameworks.
- Experience with API testing tools and methodologies.
- Experience testing frontend-heavy applications.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, test design, bug lifecycle, and release processes.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to investigate, reproduce, and clearly communicate issues.
- Actively uses AI tools to improve productivity, accelerate test planning and documentation, support debugging and investigation, and identify ways to make QA processes more efficient.
- Curiosity and awareness of new technologies, tools, and industry trends through tech news, podcasts, social platforms, professional communities, or similar channels.
- Highly motivated, responsible, and eager to learn and grow.

- Familiarity with SQL and data validation.
