Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Quality Assurance Engineer with 6–9 years of experience in both Manual (Functional) Testing and Test Automation. The ideal candidate will have a strong quality mindset, hands-on experience in designing and executing comprehensive test strategies, and expertise in building scalable automation solutions.
This role requires close collaboration with Product Management, Development, DevOps, and Business stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products through robust testing practices, automation excellence, and continuous quality improvements.
The candidate should possess strong programming skills with JavaScript and/or TypeScript and hands-on experience with modern test automation frameworks such as Cypress, Playwright, or similar tools. Experience with API testing, CI/CD integration, and Agile development practices is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
Functional / Manual Testing
Analyze business and technical requirements to create comprehensive test strategies, test plans, test scenarios, and test cases.
Perform functional, regression, integration, system, end-to-end, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
Execute manual test cases and identify, document, and track defects through resolution
Validate application workflows, business rules, and data integrity across multiple systems
Participate in requirement reviews and provide early feedback to improve product quality and testability
Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Developers, Business Analysts, and DevOps teams to resolve quality issues effectively
Ensure traceability between requirements, test cases, and defects
Automation Testing
Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for UI, API, and regression testing
Build and enhance scalable automation frameworks using Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, or similar automation tools
Develop automation solutions using JavaScript and/or TypeScript
Identify and prioritize test cases suitable for automation to maximize test coverage and efficiency
Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing
Monitor, analyze, and improve automation execution results, stability, and reliability
Support shift-left testing practices and drive automation adoption across teams
Mentor and guide junior QA engineers on automation frameworks, coding standards, and testing best practices
Minimum Qualifications
6–9 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, including both Manual and Automation Testing
Strong experience in Functional, Regression, Integration, System, and End-to-End testing
Hands-on programming experience with JavaScript and/or TypeScript
Proven experience with automation tools such as Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, or equivalent frameworks
Experience in API testing using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or similar
Knowledge of test automation framework design patterns (Data-Driven, Keyword-Driven, Hybrid, Page Object Model)
Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and modern software development practices
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
Experience working with defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail, or similar
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with cloud-based testing environments and DevOps practices
Exposure to performance, security, or accessibility testing
Knowledge of containerized environments and tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
Experience working in enterprise-scale SaaS or web application environments
