Responsibilities
- Own, maintain, and expand the existing end-to-end automation test suites.
- Design, develop, and execute automated tests using JavaScript-based frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Cypress, or similar).
- Build new automation coverage across API, UI, microservices, and integration layers.
- Work closely with developers to ensure testability, stability, and quality of all features.
- Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with DevOps teams in an AWS environment.
- Investigate test failures, triage issues, and provide clear debugging feedback to engineering teams.
- Contribute to quality strategy, best practices, and process improvements across the QA function.
- Mentor junior QA team members when needed.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on QA automation experience.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and experience building automation frameworks from scratch.
- Solid experience with modern automation tools (Playwright, Cypress, WebdriverIO, or similar).
- Strong expertise in API automation and tools like Postman, Newman, SuperTest, or similar.
- Experience working with AWS services (CloudWatch, S3, Lambdas, API Gateway, EC2, etc.).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).
- Strong understanding of software testing best practices and E2E testing strategy.
- Ability to operate independently, take ownership, and deliver results with minimal direction.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.
Nice to have
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code or serverless frameworks.
- Familiarity with microservices and event-driven architectures.
- Experience with mobile automation (iOS/Android) is a plus.
