Job Duties and Responsibilities
Candidates must be willing to participate in at least one in-person interview, which may include a live whiteboarding or technical assessment session.
As a Senior Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality, stability, and performance of the Boost Mobile app through scalable and efficient automated testing. You will be responsible for building and maintaining automation frameworks, improving test coverage, and working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality mobile experiences to millions of users.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and maintain mobile automation frameworks using tools like Appium, Cucumber, and Perfecto.
- Develop and execute end-to-end automated test cases for iOS and Android apps, ensuring quality and reliability.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support consistent and efficient builds.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test strategies and ensure quality across the SDLC.
- Troubleshoot and maintain automated test suites, improving execution efficiency and reporting clear results.
- Utilize BDD frameworks with Cucumber and Gherkin syntax, integrating with test runners like JUnit or TestNG.
Skills, Experience and Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience
- 6+ years of experience in Quality Assurance or Test Automation, with a strong focus on mobile applications
Skills and Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with test automation tools such as Appium, Cucumber, Perfecto
- Strong programming skills in Java, JavaScript for scripting and test development
- Experience in integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab, Harness)
- Solid understanding of QA methodologies, test design, and software development lifecycle
- Familiarity with bug tracking, test management, and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with short development cycles and frequent releases
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in API testing using tools like Postman, RestAssured
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like Firebase, Crashlytics for post-deployment validation
- Exposure to A/B testing, accessibility testing, and performance/load testing for mobile applications
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Experience with test reporting tools (e.g., MasterThought, ExtentReports) is a plus
Salary Ranges
Compensation: $110,100.00/Year - $120,000.00/Year
