We are looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer with experience in either UI automation or performance testing. This position will be full-time and Hybrid from Bengaluru.
What You'll Do:
Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks and scripts using Selenium, Playwright, or similar tools
Contribute to automation strategy, ensuring maximum coverage and reusability
Perform manual testing for new features, exploratory testing, and edge cases not suitable for automation
Analyze requirements and create test scenarios, test cases, and test data
Ensure regression coverage through automation, reducing manual effort over time
Integrate test suites into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps) for continuous testing
Execute test cycles, log defects, and drive defect closure with dev teams
Perform API validation and basic automation where applicable
Conduct performance testing using JMeter and provide insights
Participate in test planning, estimation, and reporting
Continuously identify opportunities to shift-left and improve quality processes
What You'll Need
Required:
Strong hands-on experience in UI Automation, with preference for Playwright expertise
Proficiency in Java and/or JavaScript
Solid experience in manual testing (functional, regression, exploratory,smoke)
Experience with Azure DevOps / CI-CD integration
Good understanding of test design techniques and defect lifecycle
Experience in performance testing using JMeter
Strong debugging and analytical skill
Experience in API automation/testin
Exposure to BDD frameworks (Cucumber, SpecFlow, etc
Experience in test reporting dashboards / QA metrics
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum practices
Preferred
Strong communication skills with ability to articulate risks, defects, and quality insights
Ability to collaborate across Dev, Product, and QA teams
Ownership-driven mindset with focus on quality and delivery
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
