Job Description

We are looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer with experience in either UI automation or performance testing. This position will be full-time and Hybrid from Bengaluru.

What You'll Do:

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks and scripts using Selenium, Playwright, or similar tools

  • Contribute to automation strategy, ensuring maximum coverage and reusability

  • Perform manual testing for new features, exploratory testing, and edge cases not suitable for automation

  • Analyze requirements and create test scenarios, test cases, and test data

  • Ensure regression coverage through automation, reducing manual effort over time

  • Integrate test suites into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps) for continuous testing

  • Execute test cycles, log defects, and drive defect closure with dev teams

  • Perform API validation and basic automation where applicable

  • Conduct performance testing using JMeter and provide insights

  • Participate in test planning, estimation, and reporting

  • Continuously identify opportunities to shift-left and improve quality processes

What You'll Need

Required:

  • Strong hands-on experience in UI Automation, with preference for Playwright expertise

  • Proficiency in Java and/or JavaScript

  • Solid experience in manual testing (functional, regression, exploratory,smoke)

  • Experience with Azure DevOps / CI-CD integration

  • Good understanding of test design techniques and defect lifecycle

  • Experience in performance testing using JMeter

  • Strong debugging and analytical skill

  • Experience in API automation/testin

  • Exposure to BDD frameworks (Cucumber, SpecFlow, etc

  • Experience in test reporting dashboards / QA metrics

  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum practices

Preferred

  • Strong communication skills with ability to articulate risks, defects, and quality insights

  • Ability to collaborate across Dev, Product, and QA teams

  • Ownership-driven mindset with focus on quality and delivery

Physical Demands

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions

  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.

  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
