This position will work hybrid in our Mexico City office.
Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Engineer to join one of our Platform teams. Specifically, as a Sr. Engineer, you will own the on-going development and sustainment of the Analytics microservice on our Platform.
What You'll Do:
Design, develop, and deploy scalable and highly available cloud-based applications using C#/.NET Core, AWS Web Services, Redshift and S3.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, propose technical solutions, and provide architectural decisions.
Participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality and maintainable code.
Optimize applications and infrastructure for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring the reliability and availability of our systems, including during off-hours for outages.
Contribute to development process improvements and automation process (code quality, E2E testing, security scans, etc.), monitoring, and tiered incidence response.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to our core technologies.
Mentor and provide technical guidance to other engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
What You'll Need:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Strong professional experience working as a software engineer, with a focus on C# and Python 3 development.
Proven expertise in designing and developing cloud-based applications using AWS and related services
Experience with Event-Driven Architecture or Message-Driven Architecture and distributed systems.
Experience developing multi-tenanted applications.
Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration
Proficient in designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code using tools like Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitLab.
Familiarity with cloud security principles and best practices.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
We'd Love to See:
Experience with data engineering and data lifecycle management.
Experience in Go programming.
Familiarity with Angular and Typescript.
Knowledge of additional Cloud Platforms and services (Azure or GCP) and additional Kubernetes Platforms.
Experience with Kubernetes tooling such as Helm charts, Monitoring tools, Tilt, or others.
