As a Senior Python Developer on Incode’s Document Intelligence team, you’ll be a force multiplier for our R&D organization. You’ll design and scale the internal tooling that powers some of the most accurate identity document processing systems in the world—used to parse passports, visas, driver’s licenses, proof of address, and more.

Your work will directly accelerate innovation by reducing friction for engineers, QA, and operations teams. By building reliable, observable, and scalable internal systems, you’ll help ensure our ML pipelines are fast to iterate, easy to validate, and production-ready at global scale.

Internal Tooling & Automation

• Build, maintain, and evolve internal tools that support testing, validation, and quality assurance for ML-adjacent pipelines

• Automate manual workflows to improve reliability, speed, and operational efficiency

Testing, Debugging & Observability

• Develop internal frameworks and utilities for debugging, configuration, and monitoring complex document-processing systems

• Improve visibility into pipeline health, performance, and data quality

ML-Adjacent Systems Enablement

• Support document intelligence pipelines that combine machine learning models with document-level processing logic

• Partner with ML engineers to ensure tooling supports rapid experimentation and safe deployment

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Engineering, QA, Analytics, and Business Ops to align tooling with real operational needs

• Translate ambiguous requirements into pragmatic, scalable solutions

Code Quality & Maintainability

• Uphold high standards for clean architecture, documentation, and long-term maintainability

• Apply strong software design principles to internal systems that are critical to the business

• Strong experience with Python, writing clean, well-structured, production-grade code
• Proven experience building or maintaining batch-oriented systems, runners, or data-processing pipelines
• Solid grasp of software design principles, system architecture, and maintainability
• Experience improving internal workflows through automation and developer tooling
• Comfort working in cross-functional environments with engineering, QA, and operational teams
• Familiarity with containerized environments and/or Kubernetes
• Experience building or extending simple internal UIs or dashboards when needed

Nice to have

• Experience with ML-adjacent systems (ML pipelines, document intelligence, data processing)
• ETL or workflow orchestration experience (e.g., Airflow, cron/event-driven systems)
• CI/CD, DevOps, AWS, or Kubernetes expertise
• Experience with templating frameworks (e.g., Jinja), GitOps, or linting patterns
• Data modeling experience (databases, schemas, indexes)
• Distributed systems experience and understanding of concurrency
• Willingness to learn UI development with AI-assisted tooling
