Job Summary
The Sr. Prototype Program Manager will lead a multi-disciplined team typically consisting of purchasing, supply chain, process engineering, manufacturing, and quality engineering from program launch to closure. The Prototype Senior Program Manager will monitor progress of suppliers of equipment and production parts to ensure on-time delivery. This role is located in Livonia, MI and is 100% onsite Monday - Friday.
As a Sr. Prototype Program Manager, you will:
- Ensure that timely and accurate reviews and routine reports are conducted on assigned projects, using these tools (P&CS Business Group Guidelines) to expose risks and elevate issues.
- Ensure programs launch on time and meet deliverables.
- Meet profitability and capital financial targets throughout program life cycle.
- Monitor timing, quality, technical and financial risks, and issues on assigned projects.
- Determine post launch profitability as early as possible in development and report gaps to business case profitability.
- Act as a customer advocate when conferring with other departments and provide direction on program requirements and priorities within the Roush organization.
- Provide leadership, guidance, coaching and technical support to team members.
- Mitigate risks through risk analysis and quantification and resolving issues.
- Elevate and focus management attention when there is not timely resolution.
To be considered a Sr. Prototype Program Manager, you will need:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of (7) years of project or program management experience.
- Valid driver’s license
- Working knowledge of program management processes (Project Scope Amendment (PSA), risk identification).
- Working knowledge of program management tools (risk analyses, communication plans, timing plans, business cases, comprehensive financial analyses).
- Strong leadership and management skills, ability to solve complex problems, work independently, and be customer, cost, quality, and delivery focused.
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
- Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
- Wire harness manufacturing experience.
- Knowledge of IPC/WHMA 620-A standard
- Product development experience.
- Experience with Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) documentation.
- Familiar with, automotive Original Equipment Manufacturer Systems (OEM) (Webquote, E-Supplier Connect, purchasing and data management systems).
- Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM).
