Senior Proposition Solutions Architect | Ocado Intelligent Automation | Hatfield | Hybrid (2 days office)
Ocado OIA (Ocado Intelligent Automation) is a division within Ocado Technology that focuses on developing advanced automation and robotics systems for Ocado's smart warehouses and fulfilment centres. This unit works on creating solutions that enable the automation of various logistical tasks, including order picking, packing, and inventory management, often using robotics, AI, and machine learning to optimise these processes.
OIA’s technology is integral to Ocado's strategy of licensing its logistics and fulfilment solutions to other retailers worldwide, helping them build automated, efficient, and scalable online grocery operations.
About the role:
As part of growing the Ocado business, we have recently announced a new mission to sell our unique ASRS (Automated Storage and Retrieval System) product to organisations operating outside of grocery e-commerce across the globe.
As one of the key technical experts within the division, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with the wider business to support the sales and implementation of our core products for clients worldwide. You will accompany the Sales team on Client site visits to explain our solution and understand, capture and communicate their requirements.
What We’re Looking For:
- Solutions Architect Experience: Demonstrated expertise in architecting and implementing technology solutions.
- Client Management: Experience working in technology companies, managing client needs and requirements effectively.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of operational processes and material flows (Ideally) in automated warehouse environments.
- Technical Communication: Ability to explain technical subjects and technologies to operational and non-technical stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Management: Proven client relationship and stakeholder management skills.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong analytical skills.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Comfortable working across internal and external teams to deliver outcomes effectively.
- Adaptability: Able to tailor style and approach to suit various stakeholders, clients, and situations.
- Results-Oriented: Proven ability to deliver results and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
