Role Summary
The Senior Proposal Manager owns complex, high‑value, or strategic proposals and serves as a subject‑matter expert within the proposal function. This role leads proposal strategy for non‑standard opportunities and applies advanced judgment to drive proposal quality and competitiveness.
Key Responsibilities
1. Complex Proposal Ownership
- Independently manage large, complex, or strategic proposals and RFPs.
- Lead proposal planning, response strategy, and content structure.
- Anticipate risks, dependencies, and customer expectations.
2. Advanced Judgment & Quality Leadership
- Apply advanced judgment to tailor responses within approved frameworks.
- Review proposal content for clarity, competitiveness, and alignment.
- Act as an escalation point for proposal challenges.
3. Process Improvement & Best Practices
- Identify recurring issues and inefficiencies in proposal workflows.
- Contribute to enhancements in templates, content, and processes.
4. Mentorship & Enablement
- Provide guidance and informal mentorship to Proposal Managers and Associates.
- Support onboarding and enablement efforts.
Qualifications
Required
- 5–7 years of experience in proposal management or related fields.
- Proven experience leading complex RFP responses.
- Strong stakeholder influence and judgment.
