Senior Proposal Manager

Job Description Summary

As a central part of the Global Occupier Services (GOS) business development team, the Senior Proposal Manager works with sales, commercial, and platform teams and is involved in every stage of the business development life cycle. This role leads regional or global, multi-service pursuits and has a detailed understanding of all GOS service lines, and can help build a bespoke solution that interlinks the various elements of a multi-service account. The Senior Proposal Manager serves as the key liaison coordinating all internal workstreams to finalize proposal responses and presentations as well as writes, tracks, and reviews all proposal content with cross-functional business teams. The preferred candidate is proactive and solution-oriented and is comfortable working with teams in a deadline-driven environment. The ideal location for this role is Atlanta, Boston, or Chicago, but we are open to remote.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

·       In this important role, you will coordinate with cross-functional internal stakeholders in the preparation of complex proposals and presentations, supporting the pursuit process from strategy and content development through review, production, and evaluation

·       This high-visibility role calls for a confident and creative professional with excellent strategic-thinking, writing, project management, analytical, and collaboration skills

·       Project manage all aspects of pursuit development, including the development of a work plan to ensure RFP responses are submitted clearly, concisely, and in compliance with all solicitation requirements

·       Project manage deliverables for meetings, proposals, and presentations

·       Partner with client-facing team members to create the story, develop content, and translate key themes in a visual and engaging way

·       Identify new ways to present material to improve presentations and proposals and maintain an internal best-in-class library of creative business development materials

·       Participate in client-facing yellow pad sessions to help diagnose client needs and propose bespoke solutions

·       Write the executive summary and key themes for major pursuits in association with the pursuit team

·       Organize, attend, and contribute to preparation meetings with stakeholders and subject matter experts to ensure alignment and responsiveness

·       Develop proposal responses comprised of new, original content written, standard content, and input from the core team and subject matter experts

·       Manage multiple projects simultaneously

·       Help develop and communicate win themes and work with graphic design team on aesthetic of deliverables

·       Work with design team to produce relevant, impactful graphics that reinforce key messaging

·       Support the preparation of all deliverables related to the opportunity (e.g., Yellow Pads, BAFO, etc.)

·       Upload all final deliverables to proposal and presentation libraries

·       Facilitate debrief session with pursuit team to document lessons learned

·       Perform pursuit close-out activities; work with Knowledge Management and design team to ensure revised and new content is uploaded to content libraries

·       Mentor junior team members and guide proposals and presentations as required

·       Perform other related duties as required or requested

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable, and courteous service to internal clients. Ability to effectively present information.

Qualifications

·       Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field preferred

Knowledge & Experience

·       6+ years of experience in proposal management environment; experience in professional services industry preferred

·       Demonstrated ability to assimilate, coordinate, and respond to global and regional RFIs and RFPs

·       High degree of energy, assertiveness, and creativity

·       Detail-oriented; strong organizational skills and effective time management

·       Ability to produce multiple deliverables quickly, while maintaining quality and accuracy

·       Ability to work well and thrive under pressure with a continuous improvement mindset

·       Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information

·       Technologically savvy

·       Immediate level skills with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat; InDesign skills are a plus

·       Experience with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and Salesforce

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.


The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.


The compensation for the position is: $ 102,000.00 - $120,000.00
