Job Description
Join our project management team and contribute to our success in developing our expertise. We are recruiting a Senior Project Planner who will act as an expert consultant to the project team and to our clients in the planning and schedule control of various projects in the building, infrastructure, industrial or transportation sectors.
Main responsibilities
- Develop the project breakdown structure in collaboration with the various parties involved whether clients, engineers or manufacturers
- Prepare master schedule, detailed schedules and establish reference planning
- Establish and analyze the critical path and propose measures to optimize the client’s schedule
- Implement and apply effective methods for measuring project progress according to size and complexity.
- Update detailed and master schedules, integrate changes, analyze impacts and ensure communication with managers
- Validate supplier, subcontractor and contractor schedule milestones against contractual requirements and project objectives
- Actively participate in the risk management strategy associated with the schedule
Qualifications
- Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) or the Ordre des architectes du Québec (OAQ) or training in planning, management or finance
- Minimum fifteen (15) years’ experience in project planning in a multidisciplinary industrial field
- Experience in claims analysis and negotiation
- Excellent command of planning software (Primavera P6, Microsoft Project)
- Available to work full-time at the client’s project office (East End of Montreal Island)
- Fluency in spoken and written French and English
