Senior Project Manager, Delivery - Central Hub (Frankfurt Area)

Role Summary
As Senior Project Manager, you will lead complex data centre design and construction projects across STACK Infrastructure's Central Hub, based in the Frankfurt area. You will manage the full project lifecycle, from design, permitting and procurement through construction, commissioning and handover into operations.
Working with Delivery, Engineering, Operations, procurement partners, contractors, vendors, local authorities and clients, you will keep projects moving safely, efficiently and transparently. This is a high-impact role for a project leader who enjoys bringing structure, momentum and collaboration to mission-critical infrastructure programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead detailed project execution plans covering scope, schedule, budget, risk management and resource planning.
- Manage project schedules across design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover, ensuring key milestones are tracked and delivered.
- Coordinate internal teams and external partners, including designers, engineers, contractors, consultants, vendors, utility providers and local authorities.
- Oversee design development to ensure data centre solutions meet client requirements, operational needs, regulatory obligations, safety standards and sustainability goals.
- Support permitting and approvals, including construction permits, utility connections and compliance with applicable German building, environmental, health and safety and energy standards.
- Oversee construction activities, contractor performance, site progress, quality and safety, including integration of owner-furnished, contractor-installed systems and equipment.
- Manage project budgets, forecasts, cost reporting, change control and risk mitigation, ensuring decisions and issues are clearly documented and communicated.
- Lead quality control, testing, commissioning and operational readiness activities, ensuring electrical, mechanical, cooling, fire suppression and IT infrastructure systems meet design requirements.
- Ensure smooth handover to clients, tenants and operations teams, including documentation, warranties, operational manuals, maintenance schedules and post-construction support.
- Provide clear progress reporting to senior management, clients and stakeholders, maintaining accurate project records, schedules and decision logs.
What You'll Bring
- Significant experience managing large-scale data centre construction projects or similarly complex infrastructure environments, such as mission-critical, high-tech or oil and gas projects.
- A strong track record of delivering multi-million-euro construction projects through design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover phases.
- Experience leading contractors, consultants, subcontractors, vendors and internal project teams in a fast-paced delivery environment.
- Strong knowledge of construction delivery, project controls, change management, risk management, quality assurance and health and safety expectations.
- Good understanding of data centre systems, including electrical, mechanical, cooling, fire suppression, IT infrastructure, redundancy, scalability and energy efficiency considerations.
- Familiarity with German construction regulations, local permitting processes, health and safety requirements and energy management standards such as ISO 50001.
- Confidence using project management and tracking tools such as MS Project, Primavera or similar platforms.
- Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bring clarity and alignment across technical and commercial teams.
- A degree or equivalent experience in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline. PMP, LEED, BREEAM, ISO 9001 or ISO 50001 certification is advantageous.
- Strong written and verbal English and German language skills, supporting clear communication with local authorities, contractors and international project teams.
