The Senior Project Manager will support the Group Head of Operational Projects in the planning, coordination, and execution of group-wide initiatives, with a primary focus on finance, IT, and operational systems and tools. The role will also provide administrative and operational support to the Finance Department and the Chief Operating Officer, including the preparation of reports, maintenance and updating of policies and guidelines, and coordination of day-to-day administrative activities.
Responsibiities:
- Supporting the Chief Operating Officer and Group Head of Operational Projects in driving the firm's new finance project to ensure the efficient and timely completion of tasks.
- Assisting the Finance department with the maintenance of the financial tool that is implemented.
- Supporting the Group Head of Operational Projects with ad hoc projects, and assisting with the enhancement of the firm's tools to better cater for staff and client requirements.
- Collaborating with other departments within the Group to ensure that projects result in a positive contribution to the firm and the stakeholders day-to-day working practices.
- Assisting in the development and updating of standard operating procedures and guidelines for financial and operational activities, maintaining consistency and quality standards across the organization.
- Reviewing working practices to ascertain their success, and recommending alternative solutions when needed.
- Identifying opportunities to streamline business processes and systems to continuously improve on efficiency.
- Supporting the Group Head of Operational Projects with administrative tasks.
Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree in IT, business administration, project management or similar disciplines. Masters or an advanced degree will be considered as an advantage.
- 5 years + experience of project management and delivery within corporate environments.
- Experience working with finance teams and financial systems, with a basic understanding of accounts.
- Proven track record of successfully improving the quality of processes and practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and CRM (Microsoft Dynamics 365).
- Proficient level of English - superior written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Demonstrates an awareness of fundamental business principles as well as a deep understanding of operational quality standards.
- Able to foresee problems and prevent them by taking action.
- Availability to work at the office 5 days a week (close to Marquês de Pombal) during probation period.
