Operating through a business transformation lens, the role goes beyond project coordination to identify operational challenges, redesign processes, and implement secure, technology-enabled solutions, including organizational design initiatives, AI-driven workflows, and major finance platform system implementations, all aimed at creating measurable business value.
Responsibilities:

  •  Lead and support COO Office initiatives focused on operating model design, service delivery improvement, process redesign, organizational design, finance systems, IT platforms, AI enabled workflow and data led decision making.
  •  Review current ways of working across the Group, including governance, roles and responsibilities, process ownership, handoffs, sourcing arrangements, systems, controls, reporting and service standards.
  •  Design and recommend improved state operating models that are efficient, scalable, secure, well governed and aligned with Group priorities.
  • Map and improve end to end global processes, identifying duplication, bottlenecks, control gaps, manual workarounds and opportunities for simplification, automation or better sourcing.
  • Lead or support business critical technology and finance initiatives, including Sun Accounts/SunSystems upgrades, workflow tools, digital signing solutions, AI enabled features and reporting improvements.
  • Ensure IT, AI, finance and vendor solutions are underpinned by strong process design, clear business requirements, security controls, user adoption planning and measurable business benefits.
  • Support sourcing decisions, including whether services or capabilities should be delivered internally, centrally, locally, through shared services or through external vendors.
  • Develop project plans, operating model options, business cases, benefits measures, decision papers, implementation plans and post implementation reviews.
  • Coordinate Finance, IT, Operations, Compliance, vendors and senior stakeholders to ensure initiatives improve business performance and day to day working practices.
  •  Support the Finance department with maintenance, enhancement, reporting, user guidance and issue tracking for finance tools once implemented.
  • Ensure projects consider information security, access controls, audit trails, data protection, vendor risk, confidentiality, business continuity and operational resilience.
  • Prepare and update SOPs, operational guidelines, user guidance, reports, action trackers and decision records, and provide practical reporting and documentation support where required.

Requirements:
  •  8+ years' experience in project management, operating model design, or transformation within corporate or government environments.
  • Proven track record optimizing operating models, service delivery, governance, sourcing, and structures.
  • End-to-end systems experience (implementation, data migration, UAT, cutover, and support), ideally with finance platforms like SunSystems.
  • Strong financial literacy, including a solid understanding of accounting, reporting, reconciliations, and financial controls.
  • Vendor management expertise handling external tech vendors, consultants, e-signature/AI providers, and security advisers.
  • Expertise in business optimization, encompassing process improvement, benefits realization, business cases, and data analytics.
  • Solid grasp of information security, including access controls, audit trails, data protection, and vendor risk management.
  • Proficient in MS Office and CRM systems, ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  • Degree in IT, Business, or Project Management; postgraduate qualifications are a plus.
  • Exceptional English skills with the ability to draft high-quality corporate reports, guidelines, and decision papers.
